I'm starting to think the new album won't be too bad.
Still sounds pretty bland but it's a better bland. Dude can't sing at all though.

I thought the song was pretty freakin sick myself. Jordan's fills get better every record somehow. The new singer, meh not as good as Clint on the recording I think, sounds like he is straining in some parts but still not bad. I'm really excited for the new record now.

The song would have been better if it was a bit shorter.

Not as good as Within Destruction but still surprisingly good. This may just convince me to buy this when it comes out.

I dunno about that, I like this guys voice better than the other guy. Even if many people do what he does better than him.

That wasn't very good imo. Jordan's drumming is improving, though.

Clint's voice is much better than Josh's.

And I thought that song blew.

Clint's voice was better, but everything else is better about these two new songs than the majority of their other songs. I mildly enjoyed their other two albums (not coutning encasing of ashes) but both fo these songs ar very strong, better everything just aobut, Tim's screaming is much better imo, and other than those clean vocals, everything has improved. IF the rest of the album is as good as these two songs, this will probably get a solid 4 rating from me. Im excited for this now.

You know, im not quite sure yet but i think i enjoy these songs more than the new Arch Enemy track 0_o

The singing sucked balls. The song though was a let down compared to that first song they put out from this record. Still, I have to admit this sounds better than their past efforts.

Pretty good song from a pretty good band. Nothing beats Through Struggle though.

Not cool man, just not cool. Arch Enemy's new album is going to completely deck this no matter what AILD do.

Although I will say, this song is not horrible. The vocals are still lame, but it's a ton better than the bullshit Slayer ripoff the last one was.

Shattered_Future,
I also found that first song they put out sounding a little familiar too (Slayer anyone?). New Arch Enemy will destroy this album (dont know why we are comparing these bands but OK!)

Its not even a comparison between as i lay dying and arch enemy. Their both two different bands of two different genres and arch enemy has been out longer then aild and has much more talent.

I don't really see why we're comparing Arch Enemy and AILD, especially since pretty much any melodeath band is guaranteed to destructify any metalcore band out there.

Melodeath > Metalcore all day. Period.

the clean singing is actually kinda good since he sings in an aggressive way unlike Clint did, Clint had more of an emoish voice so i think it's actually an improvement and i've seen these guys live recently and the new bassist has a really good voice live too.

FYI Clint never recorded any vocals. They always had some random person do it on Frail Words Collapse and on Shadows Are Security. Its in AILD's myspace blog thing titled something like What happened to clint and whos the new guy. Clint also never actually recorded the bass parts either.
