I don’t dig the lo-fi production
| |
Yeah, production is totally "early '80s"
| |
Yeah, reminds me those underground demo-tapes
| |
Metal Latin America, Chile in particular, seems to love this kind of production, the debut Ripper album and the latest Hellish album had analogous sound work.
| |
The underground bands had that lo-fi sound because they didn’t have money for a decent studio. Who would say that decades later there would be bands trying to emulate that sound.
| |
I think part of it is emulation, the other part is band/label-related dearth of technical means due to limited financial resources.
| |
Do bands like horrendous, tomb mold, morbus chron, ulthar record in lo-fi? Cause I dig what they re doing x) it sounds great to me.
| |
They avoid over-compression and over-production but it’s not lo-fi
| |
Oh ok tks...sometimes I get a bit confused there.I rather put play lol and pump the vol uuup! you never know
| |
Well, at least for me...maybe the dudes think it's lo-fi
