Air was my favorite record of 2016. Really excited to hear this.

| |
yo what the fuck this is awesome
| |
Ok, so far, this is amazing.
| |
The debut is great in a background noise kind of way. I hope they've made some artistic advancement on this one.

You might be disappointed. There's about 2 filler tracks on here and the rest are very, very samey smears of the same sound. Instrumentation has less immediacy and those tasty blastbeats are gone. The vocal melodies are nice but the verses are extremely simple and repetitive. You're not going to be noticing new things on relistens or appreciating the riffs on this one.
I want to love this as much as Air, but each time I relisten (had the leak a few days), my impression gets a little worse, unfortunately.
Fault, Water, Breathe, and the two singles they've releases are the best on here IMO

Weird I think this is better than Air so far. Definitely more engaging in my opinion.
| |
My first listen I was baked out of my tree and in pure bliss and thought this topped Air easily. But it just hooks me less, because I can listen to Air on loop and it never gets old, but the songs themselves are way more repetitive and uninteresting here, despite the melodies and production and vocals being very nice.
But I'm glad someone does like it more than me! Maybe I'll swing back around and love this in time.
| |
sounds about right
| |
Oh well. I'll get around to listening to this at some point with lowered expectations.
| |
Dream Thrash? What are you even saying lol
| |
I'm halfway through and it is a little samey and the vocals don't have a ton of variation. Love the sound though so I'm more than happy with it.
| |
This is sweet as hell. Don't sleep on it.
| |
I agree with Nomos, they have lost some of the fury they had in "Air" and focused on vocal melodies that are somewhat very pleasant, but let's see how they stand the test of time. It's a good album, but "Air" tops this in every way (so far).
| |
cool band, looking forward to giving it a full listen
| |
it's sooooo good
| |
This band to the producer: okay so imagine you go to this epic gig and you can hear the music as you get closer but then you can't go inside the venue and hear the whole gig from outside, do that
| |
Jamming now. m/
| |
3 tracks in and I’m in love already wow.
| |
I just wish guitars were a bit more upfront but yeah it's pretty sweet.
| |
Jamming Air now as well. It's like if Mew were a metal band haha. Love em.
| |
can't choose between this and a swarm of the sun for strongest record so far this year so far
soooooo good
| |
I’ll have to listen to that one. Give my dig a listen bros.
| |
honestly Two People is my favorite album so far, but I'll give this a listen. Hoping it's not the samey metalcore garbage that's everywhere these days
| |
Not Metalcore, I'd say they have carved a pretty unique sound at this point.
| |
lmao 'dream thrash" come on
| |
This band has never been metalcore lmao.
