Seriously loving this so far. Four tracks in. Feels like Aaron West plus a hint of early Bon Iver

so glad this turned out to be true
|
| |
the opener and Chesapeake are fantastic
|
| |
Wait what, holy shit hell yes
|
| |
Dylan Thomas is fantastic
|
| |
"Service Road" was an instant stand-out
so stoked
|
| |
I think that one would have felt especially at home on I’m Wide Awake
|
| |
Big Black Heart is basically perfection
|
| |
the guitar tones in that song are awesome

1st listen was mediocre, I felt a tad disappointed with the lack of instances where Bridgers took the lead (everything seemed to blend into a bunch of samey duets) and it felt a lot like an Oberst album ft. her as opposed to a 50/50 effort.
2nd listen is way more promising, the songs are starting to distinguish themselves and the melodies are digging their hooks deep. Yeah, I definitely think this is gonna end up being a great album.

| |
looking forward to hearing what your 3rd listen brings ;D

This is incredible and I have already listened to it over 8 times through today. These guys are a math made in heaven. Both of their past albums have been good, but lacking. Together they add a nice contrast and harmonize great.

Dylan Thomas is fantastic [2]
|
| |
yeah that song is something else
|
| |
Great album.

2nd time through and my initial highlights aren't hitting as much and the songs I shrugged off at first are digging in
Thought Phoebe wss pretty prominent on this Sowing, bit surprised by that take. Then again I'm not familiar with his solo work
|
| |
Sleepwalkin', Dylan Thomas, and My City are all some jamz, I love em
|
| |
Yeah loving pretty much everything here now, love how different her voice sounds on here sometimes, feel like she's just continuing to expand her sound and voice before her next solo
speaking of.... can we still hope for a 2019 release for that?
|
| |
would think so. but damn she's also been so busy with these side projects. maybe late 2019
|
| |
agreed
