Japanese post-rock band Mono has released an official video for a new track called "Breathe", one of the new songs included in the band's upcoming new album, titled Nowhere Now Here. Mono's tenth release is scheduled for January 25, 2019 via Temporary Residence Ltd. and Pelagic Records.

The track features vocals from bassist Tamaki Kunishi and it marks the first time that the band includes singing in their music. The video has been directed by French film director Julien Levy. You can watch it below:

this is the best track they've done since for my parents, vocals are actually pretty refreshing and have a nice balance between beauty and eerieness

although im pretty sure the pads are an alchemy preset because ive definitely used that one before

These guys where absolutely hypnotizing live and actually blew Alcest out of the water (who headlined after them). Sweet song this!

@Scheumke I saw them on that tour too, and although they put on a great performance, they were far too loud - I had ear plugs in and they were still deafening. Absolutely killed the show for me. Alcest on the other hand were perfect.

I mean it definitely doesn’t take away from their sound. Wonder why they chose to sing in English though

First time they've used vocals on a track?
Sure Iv seen live videos years ago where Tamaki definitely sings... or am I thinking of someone else?

Bored me to tears. I’m figuratively crying at this band’s decline.

this is nice, but they have a tendency to release their best singles first so won't hold my breath(e).

I've never even heard Hammock, what do I win? If they're actually better than Sigur Ros than guess I should (even though that has to be impossible).

Hammock have no bad albums. Sigur ros, on the other hand, have valtari and med sud, which are a complete snoozefest

Mono has used vocals on one of the songs on Rays of Darkness as far as I remember.

I've not heard a song so delicately balanced between eerie and ethereal like this. That was really special.

"Mono has used vocals on one of the songs on Rays of Darkness as far as I remember."

Correct, it was a feature of Tetsu from Envy. It is the first time a member of the band sings on record? Idk, I should have rephrased that better though, sorry.
