goddamnit, I was hoping they'd break up
song sucks btw
| |
this is straight up the best thing they’ve ever done. they’ve wanted to do this since 2014
| |
Not too shabs. Sounds like they are trying to go for almost a Songs About Jane style Maroon 5. Dude's voice is kind of perfect for this more pop direction.
| |
I love this
| |
nice
| |
Yikes.... This Is Your Way Out is the best material they ever put out
| |
this is REALLY fucking awkward
| |
Pretty catchy. May be able to enjoy this band for once.
| |
Who the fuck is their singer now? They always sucked tho.
| |
it's alright for what it is
| |
Hearing a lot of Michael Jackson influence
| |
Daaaaaamn this is catchy as fuck. That bass grooves hard
| |
Ugh.
| |
I am really not into this music but goddamn is his voice perfect for this. They 100% pull it off and is super catchy and groovy.
| |
Good, cause the world needs more garbage like this.
| |
this band has never really grabbed me but I liked this a lot
| |
This...
Actually isn't terrible.
| |
I love Maroon 5
| |
This is like if Maroon 5 was stomachable
| |
Hahaha Maroon 5 comparison is on the money. Adam Levine wants his sound back.
| |
Not really, Levine is probably jealous these guys somehow made it work.
| |
Maroon 5 hasn't sounded like this in over a decade and they hardly penned this style.
| |
^
| |
Much better than Maroon 5 lol
The girls dancing make this actually believable...
| |
Not to mention...actual real instruments and a voice that isn't grating
| |
I dig it a lot. Emarosa really seemed to have found their sound with Bradley
| |
I'll always dig Relativity and the S/T. I even dig Versus, haven't jammed 131. This is pretty cool.
| |
This is awesome.
| |
It's okay. I like 131 a lot because it was a good blend of pop and post-hardcore.
| |
this is so much fun, hope the rest of the record is just as great.
| |
Pretty decent for what it is. That being said, pop is garbage.
| |
who deleted my comment wtf horrible
| |
songs cool. i enjoy that the mix has the instruments sharing the space with his voice still.
| |
Band's always been quite boring tbh
Can't seem to pull off any sound they are going for

He Is Ocean is an incredible track. Really reminds me of post-rock
| |
This was fun as fuck. I don't mind this change at all.
| |
very misleading headline
| |
I guess its pretty good for pop. Love that the drums and guitars are still very present. It's pretty much a change in style. If they break into the mainstream, I can see this being an influence for many future pop artists and better music on the radio.
| |
Very polarized opinions in this thread lol
| |
For what it is I found this pretty damn enjoyable
| |
Woah, wasn't expecting this. Pretty damn good.
| |
Song is fun as fuck. For all the formerly post-hardcore bands aiming to become pop, this is a)easily the best example of that transition and b)a great song in its own right.
This definitely has Maroon 5 vibes, but they used to be great so
| |
this sounds nothing like maroon 5 this is LEAGUES better. The bass grooves and vocals here kick serious ass.
| |
you guys must not listen to much pop
| |
Very polarized opinions in this thread lol
neek there's a bunch of pop haters here clearly, if you like pop this rules
| |
I dont listen to pop and this is good
| |
Well to be clear, wasn't saying if you don't listen to pop you'll hate this. I just mean some people on here just outright hate pop and don't even give it a fair chance
| |
TAILOOOORED SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETZ
| |
This is terrible!! Worst song they've done
| |
fuck yeah they finally went full pop
not a huge fan but this feels a lot more natural for Bradley than anything they've done in Versus, 131 is a great album that finally finds him settling in quite nicely, but I knew from the second I first heard him that they were gonna end up doing something like this, and mad props to them for actually daring to do it and for pulling it off good. Wouldn't say I'm hyped out of my mind for the album based on this one song alone, but it does have the potential to be something really solid and sweet.
| |
Agreed, this is some of their most memorable work imo
| |
Yeah this is straight up the best thing they've ever done.
If you don't like pop as a style of music, this will most likely not change your mind, but this is excellent given what it is. Song's so catchy I'm getting ready for the sugar crash when I repeat this until I hate it.
| |
Never understood why anyone liked this band but this was... not too shabby. The vocals and bass clearly carry the entire song and I feel like they could have pushed the song in some more creatives directions, especially with the guitars, but it was totally inoffensive pop music and that's okay.
| |
this felt less forced than i expected. song is fun! this style gives the vocalist more room to show off.
they're probably wiser to ditch the post-hardcore shit. both musically and marketability-wise.
| |
I don't mind this at all
| |
I'm a fan of the saxophone
| |
Late to the party but this song is amazing
| |
"I'm a fan of the saxophone"
^ this!
