it's not even that the metal sections are that bad so much as it is how annoying her voice is during those initial sections. The high pitch of her voice really clashes with everything else and the chance of it being juxtapositionally cutesy just goes right down the toilet. Badbadbadnotgoodbad

The whole idea of Poppy I was under the impression was a social experiment to see the reactions of 'fans' to a creation that's an entire fabrication with absolutely no 'beating heart' to it at all

I mean I guess she might now have turned her back on that and wants to be a typical 'human pop star' but I thought initially it was clearly a really annoying experimental construct to see just what people could form an attachment with/become fans of

I looked up 'Poppy' on the database and found this lass, thought that I must've mis-heard/mis-spelt the artist name. Heard the track and thought it was a metal band trying to be edgy, it's the same result I guess. Gimmicky beyond belief and one of the worst things I've ever heard.
