These guys have a nice talent for riding every trend and doing it well everytime
| |
Awesome song, don’t know how I feel about the album title though.
| |
Sounds like a logical continuation of AOGHAU. They have their sound and sound great every time. Sam’s cleans seem to just get better and the drums sounded absolutely outstanding. Very hyped for the album.
| |
The most 3 band that ever 3’d post 2009. Song is powerful and people will love it but the band they reinvented themselves as never really grabbed me like nightmares through hollow crown
| |
Glad they put Doomsday on the album
| |
Fantastic song, passionate and genuine.
Tom would be proud
| |
“Tom would be proud” [2] looks like the boys are gonna carry on Tom’s legacy with more incredible music. Can’t wait for the album
| |
Band has been consistently shitting out gold since "Daybreaker" in my opinion. Their lyrical content and production values have always been miles ahead of the pack. Very excited for this album.
| |
very passionate. almost a power ballad
| |
Fuck this is perfect.
| |
fuck me this is fantastic
| |
Mortal after All would have been such a badass album title.
| |
yup, it's an architects song alright
| |
wouldn't be one without at least one "blegh" tbh
| |
Awesome song, haven't paid enough attention to this band. Gonna go on a binge of them soon.
| |
experimentation would be cool, though
| |
Seeing the band carry on and continue to make great music after losing Tom is so inspiring
| |
^ agreed. hope WCAR will do the same
| |
Sam sounds so fucking good on this, and those riffs sound so eerily familiar
| |
Their last album was the first good one, and it really was fantastic. Here's to the next one.
| |
And here I was thinking TWY would have the only 5/5 of the year. Fuck yes boys.
| |
Fuark, this is a really solid track. Architects are maturing nicely.
| |
Glad the production of this one is gonna be miles better than AOGHAU. Sounds like it's gonna be great, quality music
| |
On tour with Polaris (Aus) at Wembley. Would love to see that!
| |
song rips, Sam sounds even more monstrous than usual
| |
I am so excited for the album. I think Beartooth is a nice support pick tbh.
| |
'On tour with Polaris (Aus) at Wembley'
It's a great bill isn't it? So happy I managed to bag tickets for Manchester.
Song sounds massive, well excited for the new album.
| |
Sad that the Doomsday piano reprise is not on the tracklist
| |
Not bad
| |
Serviceable metalcore song, but I don't plan on listening to it ever again
| |
Is it me or is Josh doing backup vocals here?
| |
BLEGH
great song.
| |
@Exhale would be cool if he did it live.
| |
I'd like to see them out of their comfort zone on other songs, but its great they can make new music and still sound like Tom is right there with them. Especially given that Tom basically wrote all of their music.
| |
I dont picture them experimenting a whole lot on this one, they likely just want to put out a banger for Tom.
I’m down either way.
| |
definitely what Tom would have wanted
| |
Song is pretty good.
| |
this is exactly the time to experiment though
| |
Pretty good song. Band has never really managed to grab me for a full album though
| |
I hope this album grabs me as much as AOGHAU ... that album was massive, heavy and catchy AF
| |
"I was very worried about people taking away a despondent message from the album."
The fucking album title was 'All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us', what other message could we have possibly taken away.
| |
Huh, this is the first track of theirs that I've enjoyed in a while. Nice.
| |
blegh breakdown? aiight I'll 4 it
| |
huehuehue. I had always noticed his unusual repetetive non-verbal exclamations, but thanks to this thread, I can recognize "BLEGH" as a real thing
| |
ok
| |
blegh has been a metalcore trope since 2012ish lol
| |
it's a ripper for sure boys
| |
Solid song but I was really hoping to hear them progress and push forward as a band. Kinda surprised at how horrible the album title and song titles are as well but realistically, names aren't important.
| |
Such a good FUCKING song.
| |
BLEGH
REGH
*du du nu nu nu nu nuuuuuu*
| |
Band has always been meh for me. Song is pretty solid though.
| |
Certainly sounds like an Architects song. Tom would be stoked.
| |
the vocalist for Sylosis I think
| |
Josh was announced as a new member a while ago
| |
"the vocalist for Sylosis I think"
Josh M? Holy fuck talk about big fish in a small pond...
| |
sounds like architects alright
| |
Yooo is this band any good?
If I recall correctly I read somewhere that Josh Middleton of Sylosis joined this group a couple years ago. Been digging some Sylosis these days (Conclusion of an Age and Dormant Heart).
Which album is the best starting point for this band?
| |
Josh joined last year lol
Hollow Crown is probably the best starting point
| |
I guess I misread the news lol.
I'll listen to it tomorrow after I get home from college. Thanks.
| |
If they’re not going to experiment then Josh is just a wasted talent.
| |
I'm so weird with Architects, I dont hate them, think they're way overhyped for sure. I dont think this is a bad song, last breakdown is pretty good but its no different to any other song that came out on the past 2 records. I was hoping Josh would give them something, either if it was just composition just to mix things up.
| |
I can hear Josh's influence on here. The guitar work is more slightly technical and interesting on this track.
| |
this would've been the natural time to change their sound
| |
I really don't hear Josh's influence at all. Riffs are basically the same as on Doomsday and last record.
| |
[2]
| |
[3]
| |
He probably just needed money
| |
Song been on repeat for 24 hours now. So good. Can't wait for the album. 4/5 minimum for sure.
| |
Fuck yeah. I'm very amped for this. It sounds like it's probably the other guitarist having the mantra of the band down so the riffs remain similar OR a buncha tracks that Tom already had demo'd or something.
| |
i think i read doomsday was written, but never finished by Tom
| |
they've mentioned previously that Tom wrote a lot of stuff before he died that he wanted them to use in the future, so that's probably why the new singles sound so familiar. I wouldn't be surprised if they got more adventurous on some of the album tracks, though.
| |
oh, that's awesome. i'd love to hear a more electronic influenced Architects
| |
This song is massive. I can already tell the record is going to be a beast, up there with LFLT and AOGHAU.
Sam's voice sounds incredible. That sludgy breakdown is sick too.
| |
It's great
| |
Their songs are all starting to sound the same since LF//LT. The intro sounds way too similar to Downfall. People will love it because of it's 'huge' sound, good production and strong vocal performance but other than that there's not much to it for me
