Progressive death metal band Once Human, featuring founding Machine Head lead guitarist Logan Mader, have this week released a cover of the famous Machine Head track "Davidian", from their breakout debut album Burn My Eyes. Mader performed on the 1992 album and co-wrote several tracks on the record, including Davidian, although he first sought permission from frontman Robb Flynn in 2016 to cover the track.
The cover track was originally released exclusively on Japanese editions of Once Human's sophomore album Evolution, however, the popularity of live performances and demand from fans led to the band eventually deciding to release the track internationally as a single.
