Pineapple Thief 'Try...' Again 2018-08-11 by RabbitSeason | 5 Comments | The Pineapple Thief have released a second single from upcoming album Dissolution titled 'Try as I Might'. The accompanying video features sterile, medical imagery juxtaposed with colorful natural scenes and an emphasis on the public nature of modern life.
In a Kscope article and interview, (http://www.kscopemusic.com/artists/thepineapplethief/), frontman Bruce Soord makes the meaning of the album title clear:
"Broadly speaking the title reflects the disintegration of relationships and the undoing of our social fabric. In a time when we are supposed to be bound closer together than ever, I have never felt so apart from the world. We are living through a revolution and right now I am not sure it’s a good one. Lyrically this is the most vivid I have been."
