I'm not into these guys much anymore, but I've always admired how much they let each band member technically shine. Song grooves hard, but that's about it for me.

Good chunk of features, I'm excited for sure. Although you're a little late calling them "rapidly growing", because if anything they've slowed down on the gathering of an audience. Muse through Renaissance was their more rapid growth stage

I want to produce a reality show (I know, Gross) where the dudes from the Mars Volta wait in a hidden place before ambushing and kicking the shit out of these prog groups who arent doing anything remotely innovative or unique. Then Cedric can tirade while they are sobbing.

These guys rule. I see a lot their hate stemming from their push toward trendier territories on recent releases. I applaud their shift in direction as that's what I find makes them unique.

Ah shiet those page breaks did not work, this shit is fire and I'm super stoked, G.O.A.T grew on by HARD, every day I hear new people talking about Polyphia dude, just a matter of time before a big rapper takes one of their beats, raps over It, and they blow up

Muse was their only good album imo. Not a fan of this.

i liked their music in 2012 when they had vocals, then they kicked out their singer and screamer, then released arguably their best release (Inspire), kicked out their drummer, let their drummer back in after no one could play his shit, kicked him out AGAIN, and now just stroke their own egos

not to mention that dunlop session they shat the bed on and had quickly removed

i've met scotty though, he was nice

@DamnVanne I thought the whole trve and br00tal-type shtick was reserved for black and death. Good to know there's also a prog-poseur-shtick going for TMV.

Yeah G.O.A.T took a while to grow on me but now I LOVE THAT SHIET, just as good as their previous stuff imo

I'm not a huge fan of the image these guys have as others have said. I find it interesting that metal fans don't take to the cocky attitude that has always dominated rap.

All flash and no substance, as usual.

If you want good instrumental just listen to the new Night Verses honestly.
