Sounded ok until the chorus
|
| |
Was okay.
|
| |
Those effects on the vocals are annoying af.
|
| |
Ew.
|
| |
Well I guess if skyharbor doesn't work out Linkin Park has found their new vocalist.
|
| |
this is disappointingly lacking in character
|
| |
Decent.
|
| |
I don't know what to make of this.
|
| |
burn this
|
| |
Genuinely thought this was periphery at first. super bland
|
| |
@SitarHero: Dude, I was thinking the exact same thing.
|
| |
Yikes, I'm rooting for these guys and the wait for this album has been trying. But this is kind of bland and lacks the passion we heard in the OG singles in 2014-2015.
Then again, stinker singles have sometimes fit well into the end product of an album.
|
| |
I could actually see Eric joining Linkin Park but it would suck for Skyharbor to lose a vocalist again, and Tompkins is too busy with 1924187 projects to come back.
|
| |
I take that back- instrumental Skyharbor would be interesting.
|
| |
Be a lot better than this.
|
| |
Maybe it'll come full circle and Skyharbor will hire Ashe O'Hara.
Honestly, Emery might be a great guy, but he's been pretty mediocre live the both times I saw him. And the stuff he's writing isn't making much of an impact... :/
I worry for Skyharbor's future because they've been one of my favourite bands since Blinding White Noise, but this Emery experiment doesn't seem to be working well.
|
| |
They haven't made a single mistake yet (although I haven't checked this track)
|
| |
This might be that mistake.
|
| |
Okay the random nu-metal vibes on this song are disturbing... The 4 other tracks I've heard from the album sound nothing like this. This feels like a filler track.
|
| |
eh, it has potential... reminds me of the songs they had in Smackdown Vs Raw etc...
Yet 'Dim' is a killer tune and wayyy better than this.
|
| |
Musically it's ok, not really liking the vocals during quite a few parts.
|
| |
Ya know, especially considering the Matrix-inspired video, everything about this song screams 1999. Perhaps Skyharbor is just paying homage to the music of their youth with this song.
|
| |
That's exactly what they stated it was in the original article:
"Frontman Eric Emery describes the track as a 'a throwback to all of our metal influences from our youth, blended with the Skyharbor sound...'"

| |
thank god its just a one-off thing then
|
| |
Oh haha. That is possibly the one, single reason that I would have accepted. Glad it's a one-off too.
