Decent song

Only 10 tracks? Oh well. Hopefully there won't be much filler.
|
| |
Anyone here going to the Mad Cool fest in Mardid next month?
|
| |
There's a couple of interesting guest spots on the record. Chris Degarmo plays guitar on Drone, and Duff from GnR plays bass on the t/t.
I'm really excited for this, it's only ten songs long which might be a good thing. I like their last record a lot, but it was definitely a little too long.
|
| |
not a bad toon
i dig
|
| |
long records are awesome lol
|
| |
this is better than the other one, feelin dirt/tripod vibes
|
| |
I'm all for a shorter record, less chances of their being filler. Song is ok tho, def not bad
|
| |
Sounds like Alice in Chains, I like it.
|
| |
standard AIC riff which means i dig
|
| |
That album art looks a lot like Gojira's Magma...
|
| |
Song is insane in my opinion, super hyped for the record!
|
| |
Also, DAMN! I didn't realise it had been 5 years since TDPDH!
|
| |
Very excited! the last one I rarely return to for some reason
|
| |
"That album art looks a lot like Gojira's Magma..."
Triangles on both, basically the same cover
illuminati lizard people killed nirvana
|
| |
Alice has some great covers in general, my fave probably being Tripod followed closely by The Devil - simply because I'm an amateur paleontologist lol
|
| |
Decent song [2]
|
| |
Sounds like they're going more old-school with this album. Songs I've heard so far are really reminiscent of Facelift and Dirt.
Kinda glad, I dug the doomier stuff from BGWTB and TDPDH but it was beginning to get a little stale.
|
| |
You say Dirt, when in actuality the song itself is giving off major Tripod vibes
|
| |
Cool beans
|
| |
Except it's rain*i*er
|
| |
Loved Dinosaurs, and the two songs out right now are incredible, so I'm extremely hyped.

Devil/Dinosaurs had some really great songs, but, in general, it felt pretty bloated. A lot of songs felt like they could have been about ~1 minute shorter. As long as these songs have an immediate, concentrated feel (and excellent riffs, as the two released so far do) I think this could wind up being their best since getting back together.
10 songs is pretty average, though, so I don't quite understand the complaints about the length. But I will say, as my tastes develop, I tend to prefer concision more and more. I imagine teenage me would have been pissed at the idea of NIN releasing a 30 minute LP; now, I feel like Bad Witch really doesn't need to be any longer than it is.
|
| |
But does anyone else thing the song titles are kinda lame/boring tho?
|
| |
Just checked on Wikipedia and the record it's over 50 minutes. So don't worry, we're getting enough length.
|
| |
Worst album title ever
|
| |
nah
|
| |
Love the shorter lengths anyway. Most 13-15 track albums are bloated and should have been cut down. 10 tracks will do just fine as long as they've done what they're supposed to as artists and put forth what they feel are their strongest tracks.
|
| |
Pretty sure BrokenCYDE and Blood On The Dance Floor have worse album titles
|
| |
New song kinda bored me after one minute
|
| |
I say 9 tracks is best, 10 tracks good
anything above is questionable
|
| |
And yes, you pronounce it like the mountain.
Song is great though it borrows a bit too much from Phantom Limb (Duvall wrote both btw).
|
| |
It sounds like Alice in Chains. The production is pretty flat. The drums are compressed to hell and there's no low end. Maybe it's a bad upload.
