I know it's intended to be "raw" and a sort of maniphesto about the state of black metal back in the day. That's pretty great and all, but it sounds like shit. There's great stuff buried in there, the riffage for instance is one thing that I do found great about it. Other than that, it's really not my cup of tea.

But the bogging production is what makes for a super atmosphereic and unique experience, if it's done right. And most of Burzum's albums nail that aspect.

Yeah, I popped my BM cherry a bit late. I know (and enjoy) several "modern" artists within the genre, but the old, rawer stuff has been a tougher shell to crack tbh. I'll give it time to grow, cause there's a lot of great stuff in there. Maybe Nattens will get better in time.

Like I said I hated it at first too and now it's a top 5-10 bm album of all time for me. You'll learn to love it all my friend don't worry.
