ABBA record new music

2018-04-27 by ZIG | 22 Comments
The Swedish band ABBA, made up of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida), announced via Instagram that they are back in the studio and have written and recorded new music for the first time since their split back in 1983.

The band said in a statement: “The decision to go ahead with the exciting ABBA avatar tour project had an unexpected consequence. We all felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the recording studio. So we did. And it was like time had stood still and we had only been away on a short holiday. An extremely joyful experience!”

I can't decide whether this is a good or bad thing.

Also it's a real missed opportunity not calling it the ABBAtar tour.

ABBA Gold is the only thing you need from these guys. I’d be shocked if any of these new songs reach that level of quality

this can turn out to be super bad. i get it that they want money and stuff but im pretty sure they are going to take a big fat dump on their legacy with this.

the winner takes it all i guess lol

Didn't they turn down a million dollar offer to do a reunion show like 20 years ago or somethin?

I love ABBA, but I still don't think the new material ends up being great

On one hand I'm sad because I dislike this band and their music is annoying beyond imagination, but on the other hand I have a job and a salary and in these times of uncertainty I can't complain too much.
