TBDM drummer joins Slugdge 2018-04-09 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 31 Comments | Fresh after the release of the acclaimed Willowtip Records debut Esoteric Malacology, British mollusc-themed extreme metal group Slugdge have announced another new member to their lineup.
Immediately following the album's March 2nd release, the duo added to their studio lineup with the addition of Moat Lowe (No Sin Evades His Gaze, Novena, ex-Bleeding Oath) on bass. However, the group had remained coy on the potential addition of a new drummer at the time. Today, through an interview with UK magazine Metal Hammer, it has been revealed that Alan Cassidy of American melodic death metal group The Black Dahlia Murder will complete the lineup as they already prepare to commence work on their 5th studio album.
In the interview, it's revealed that Cassidy had long been a fan of Slugdge, including 2014's Gastronomion as one of his favourite albums of that year, and had previously approached them about joining the band. Now that Slugdge has expanded to a four-piece, it has been suggested that they may announce live dates in the near future.
