It's decent. The lyrics are terrible, but it's a cool song.

I hate to say this, but the opening riff sounds like Slayer, and I mean a complete ripoff! Still, better than their old stuff.

Sounds pretty good. AILD were one of the few metalcore bands i actually liked, but their two cds werent anything groundbreaking or amazing, neither is this but it sounds very nice so far. Ill check this new cd out.

Wow, Im impressed. I hate their old stuff, but this is an improvement in my eyes. It doesnt sound like generic metalcore anymore! Its got more of a death-thrash sound.

i agree the opening riff does sound like slayer but its better than a breakdown.Good to see one christian band doin it right.

Still its a damn nice intro, and Tim's "screams" have improved, they're a little higher pitched, more controlled it seems.

As much of an AILD fanboy as I am, I have to say, that song bored the shit out of me.

I was really looking foward to this and well, the music is boring and from the second tim opened his mouth I didn't like his singing, a real dispointment

Well I am a rather big AILD fan, but not a huge fan of the metalcore genre. So coming from a fan, I think the change was great. There old stuff was good but this new stuff can only be better. You can only write so many good metalcore songs anyways ya know?

Theres a chance that As I Lay Crying could actually redeem themselves from releasing shitty poser metal-core for the last 7 years and actually release a metal cd. Now all they need are some solos, and for the new cd to have songs that don't sound the exact same to eachother

I love how AILD changed. It's also quite humerous reading some of the comment on their myspace page from those dang hardcore kids. "Wheres the breakdowns?" Lol. I just hope they whip out a couple guitar solo's and make a record that makes people forget they were even metalcore in the first place.

"Hey guys, all the scene/hot topic kids have moved on from our old music! It isn't making money anymore! Let's blatantly rip off dozens of thrash bands and hope it becomes a hit with all the metal kids! Yeah, that will bring in the cash quick!"

It's not amazing, but its a fair amount better than anything I've heard by them (Shadows Are Security). Pretty decent, all this considered.

Tim sounds more like a hardcore vocalist now without the screams. I'm thoroughly impressed, I can't believe they made such a huge transition. I was initially thinking this was going to be a half-cocked attempt at switching it up for them, but this song shows that they're in the right direction.

This might actually be worth checking out. I mean, it's nowhere near amazing, but it's pretty good.

Nice n thrashy, and its nice that they toned down the brutality a bit, at least its not boring and generic like before.

I like the new direction, theyre doing the same thing as Machine Head, Shadows Fall and Trivium are....good its not generic.

Cant believe Im actually waiting for this album, Lol. :D
