Plan B resurfaces - new single

2017-05-20 by sizeofanocean | 2 Comments
Ben Drew a.k.a. Plan B, a british hip hop recording artist, actor, film director and producer resurfaces after an almost five year long absence from the public eye.
With his first new single "In The Name Of Man", Plan B harkens back to his 2010 soulful effort The Defamation of Strickland Banks. This was his breakthrough record, which was met with acclaim both by critics and fans, who knew him from his earlier rap effort Who Needs Actions When You Got Words.

"In The Name Of Man" addresses political issues of the modern age and showcases a passionate and strong vocal delivery by Drew.

The song is available for digital download and streaming. A music video is expected to be released in the next few weeks.

A preview of the song can be seen here:

Plan B also goes into greater detail what inspired the new song and upcoming record, which will contain no rapping.

Definitely good news/bad news scenario. Delighted he is still alive, but when I read that the new album will not contain any rapping I was realy bumped out again.
However, his singing was already getting better 5 years ago, because later live renditions from songs from Strickland Banks were actually better than on the album.
