BTBAM Announce Colors Tour 2017-05-17 by ian b. | 48 Comments |
This morning, Between The Buried and Me revealed on their Twitter tour dates for an upcoming tour in celebration of the 10 year anniversary for their acclaimed 2007 magnum opus Colors. They have set bands The Contortionist, Polyphia, and Toothgrinder as openers for all dates, and hit 24 dates all across different regions of the US as well as a single date in Toronto, Ontario. The band stated on their website:
"Colors was our statement of rebellion. We were challenging how others identified us in the context of heavy metal, and ultimately we were challenging how we identified ourselves. It was some kind of musical manifesto, in which we found new purpose and direction simply by throwing caution to the wind and purging every ounce of creative energy we had, regardless of how unhinged it may have seemed at the time.
Ten years has passed and we are lucky enough to be able to play this album from front to back on stage for our amazing fans. See you all soon!
-BTBAM"
You can view for information about the album and purchase tickets which go on sale Friday at 10AM from the bands website here:

mfw a band's own website calls one of their albums their "magnum opus"
| |
They're amazing live, they opened for Devin, but I won't be free the only date near me this tour sadly.
| |
Also, even though I'm not a huge fan of Toothgrinder's music, they put on a killer show!
| |
Wow 10 years already? I haven't listened to it in years though.
I remember when this album came out it was enemy #1 on Sputnik lol

"I remember when this album came out it was enemy #1 on Sputnik lol"

| |
damn my show is the last date of the tour
h8 going to late dates
| |
Theres no way I could miss this show, easily my favorite album of theirs. Also I really hope The Contortionist have their new album out by this time.
| |
"lol yea that was a start of exaggerated hate and ratings"
That's actually pretty true, I never realized that until just now
| |
Santa Cruz? That's barely Bay Area.
| |
fuck. yes.
| |
Haha too bad everyone on this site fucking hates this album.
| |
Damn, 4 Florida shows? May have to give these guys another. Only ever heard two of their albums and they didn't leave much of a lasting impression on me.
| |
hell yea givin florida that love

| |
If this isnt a Sputnik Music gathering I dont know what is, magnum opus COLORS! Feels like 2007 all over!
| |
I was never the biggest fan of this band but holy crap they were phenomonal live. If I know anybody hitting up any of these dates I'm gonna try to hitch a ride.

Parallax 2 live was one of my favorite concert experiences ever so this can only be better.
| |
USA greatest country in the world
| |
No Western Canada....that's a choice
| |
Jesus fucking christ. 4 California dates. No Oregon, Washington or Idaho dates. Fuck this bullshit. Happens with like 50% of tours I get excited about. A million fucking California shows. But fuck the entire northwest. So sick of it.
| |
Saw them once and they were awesome tbh.
| |
st pete date here i come
| |
holy shit santa cruz maybe I can get some shrooms before the show.
| |
Ianblxdsoe probably not going but State Theater is like 15 minutes from my house

Gonna try my damnedest for the Atlanta date. I've yet to see these guys live, so I don't want to miss them playing their best album.
| |
^^ havent been to the masquerade in years, I heard the new location/site is shit
| |
I haven't seen many bands, but seeing these guys in 2012 was sooooo incredible.
White Walls live is life changing.
| |
Funny that they're a main act now. Saw em in ~2009, 2010 when they opened for Killswitch Engage with Protest the Hero. The crowd was tiny and full of people asking who the hell they were. Blew me away.
Saw them again in 2014 and then again last year. They are killer live. Guess I can't complain about not seeing them a 4th time. But if anyone has the chance, do it. It's virtuosic and they certainly put on a show.
| |
seen em once and i was basically standing there in awe the whole time, they played swim to the moon and i about shit myself haha
Dallas - we in there!
| |
Damn, I haven't been to a show in a while but I might have to get out to this; I could easily make two of the California dates.
| |
may go see 'em in Chicago assuming I have the money lol
| |
saw them back in '09-'10 and haven't seen a better live performance since tbh
| |
No Europe :/
| |

Sweet! Where'd you see them? I caught them in Edmonton while I had a high-grade fever. My memory of it is literally a fever dream.
| |

| |
See ya at the Crofoot!
