Ging Nang Boyz, one of Japan's biggest and most adored punk bands, announced today that they will be taking on the country's historic Nippon Budokan arena for their concert event "Ging Nang Lovers Gathering in Japan". With the show scheduled for October 13, the band will lead up to the event with the consecutive release of three singles in July, August and September. These three songs will form a trilogy in the same vein as another trilogy of songs that Ging Nang Boyz completed last year with the release of "Ikitai", a 15-minute long confessional punk ballad.
More info on the release of the upcoming singles will follow soon. Ging Nang Boyz are also set to play three headlining dates and two support dates later in the year, before the Budokan event. Frontman Mineta Kazunobu, who has over the years become a film and TV actor of some note, is a supporting cast member on the daily, 150+ episode-long morning TV drama Hiyokko, which just began airing on April 3.
