According to Q107.com's new article, Billy Corgan has confirmed that the original line-up of the Smashing Pumpkins is indeed reunited after months of hinting.
During a morning talk show on WLUP, Corgan announced that guitarist James Iha is good to go to rejoin the band.
While there is no doubt that Jimmy Chamberlin, the band's on-again-off-again drummer, is dependable to join, the article does not mention anything of D'acry Wretzky, the now reclusive original bassist for the Pumpkins.
In August 2016, Corgan mentioned on a Facebook video that he and Wtrezky have finally reestablished communication saying "I’ve been in communication with D’arcy for the first time in 16 or 17 years, it’s awesome to have my friend back." However, at the time he said that while he's interested in seeing if she wanted to rejoin, "my primary interest in the old band was us having good relationships again."
However, since this video there has been no word as to her stance, and Q107 does not mention whether she is part of this reunion, despite the article's title.
For now, maybe we should just be excited about 3/4s of the band being back together, and perhaps more news will come later.

I think he tried to get legal ownership of the company but was denied by a judge and then sued for all the money he loaned and said that TNA was taking its time to pay him back

Zzzzzzz....please Billy...I absolutely LOVED "Gish" and "Siamese Dream" but please..it's 2017. I even saw them twice back in the day, in 1994 and 1996. Shows I'll never forget. But c'mon, some things belong to the past, to that particular era. God how I hate reunions.
