Dirty Projectors Song/Video

2017-01-08 by Sowing STAFF | 10 Comments
After a few years of inactivity, experimental alt/indie bunch Dirty Projectors are back on the creative prowl to follow up 2012's Swing Lo Magellan. On Thursday the group shared their latest creation, 'Little Bubble', accompanied by a music video which features lead singer/guitarist David Longstreth posing pensively in various stunning Earthly locations. The music video, directed by Longstreth and Adam Newport-Berra ('Impregnable Question'), comes on the heels of September's single 'Keep Your Name', which you can also catch up on below. Despite Dirty Projectors' heightened activity, there is still no official word with regards to a new album for 2017.

Little Bubble: (1/5/17)

Keep Your Name: (9/22/16)

Both songs are really good, and just as expansive/imaginitve as I'd expect from these guys.

They just sound like Bon Iver now..

I think my prediction of a 3.5 or 4.0 for the new album might've been a bit generous.

Keep Your Name sounds like a b-side from 22, A Million with the vocal effects and such. Weird comparison, but sticking by it :b

Never heard of these guys, but this was pretty good. I'll keep a look out for any new material I see posted on here.

Not a fan of Keep Your Name, but Little Bubble is lovely!

I prefer Little Bubble as well but I still appreciate Keep Your Name. Even if neither song is overtly memorable tune-wise, they definitely have me primed for a full length of more eclectic / exploratory indie pop.

these are definitely less captivating than anything on swing lo magellan. they sound kinda annoyingly 'of the moment' and i hear the bon iver comparison, as well as a bit of chet faker
