I would be surprised if it is not money related. With these mid-card metal bands, it is almost always the case. Frontman/main songwriter/whatever wants a bigger share of the pie because they do most of the work; not fair to the other bandmates; bandmates want more compensation; and so on.

Let's put it this way:
Frank and Blake are replaceable. Their bass/drumming wasn't anything extraordinary.
Erik Nelson is a very talented guitarist so missing him will suck. He does most of the solos. He's married as of a couple years ago and surely he has bigger priorities in his life.

Sounds like a classic case of a band not splitting royalties/cash evenly or just uneven treatment, and with the band's breakout success this year the differences seemed to sift to the top as they became more apparent.

Blake and Frank were phenomenal dude. They wrote pretty much all their parts and helped give that signature Vektor sound.
