Stream New, Old Omar Lopez LP 2016-08-27 by Veldin | 3 Comments | Singer, song-writer, producer, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez is now streaming his new album, Aranas en La Sombra as part of the Ipecac Recordings series he started earlier this year. This album is the fourth entry of twelve that will be released until the end of 2016. This album is the oldest in the series, featuring recordings from '02-'03, with original The Mars Volta members Jon Theodore, Juan Alderete de la Peña, Eva Gardner, the late Isaiah "Ikey" Owens and Red Hot Chili Pepper's guitarist, John Frusciante. Avid TMV fans will take notice that several of these compositions were released as demos in 2013 after their disbanding and have been re-worked and re-recorded for this album.
