I was so stoked on this song, it's super catchy.
It's been a good week for me, new Candiria, new Carbomb and new Doomsday Student. Lots to be looking forward to.

Wasn't impressed. General metalcore with a passage that could pass as jazz but not really. Still searching for a band that can fuse metal and jazz perfectly. Atheist, Cynic and other thrash/death/progressive bands were excellent, but focused more on M, rather than J.

You might be more interested in Candiria's earlier material, "300 Percent Density" in particular.
Yakuza were another band who were really in to melding metal and jazz tendencies.

My pleasure!

Oh, this may seem obvious but if you've never gone in to the work of John Zorn, particularly with Naked City then that'll be the other side of the coin with a jazz musician working with metal ideas rather than metal bands with a jazz influence. Psychofagist might be worth a look as well, a bit more pronounced abstract/free jazz influence in quite a bit of their music. But again, that's a metal band playing with jazz influence, though I don't doubt that they've all got a high level of musical education/training that would make them competent within a jazz setting too.

Hell yeah. Was wondering what the status of the new album was.

That jazz bit into the breakdown was smooth. Awesomeness all around.

300 Percent Density is still the greatest metal/ mathcore/ jazz/ rap metal album of all time. Listen to it.

I'm currently exploring Naked City and Yakuza. Will listen to 300 asap.

The jazz parts are certainly impressive to hear but the "metal" bits are generic as fuck.

Really excited for this but really really not happy that Ken Schalk is no longer the drummer. It's not Candiria without him

''Work From Solace'' would slay as the name for a solo album.
