so good, so stoked.
| |
It's nice. Not picking as much black metal in it, but it's moodier than Shelter.
| |
Oh great I just needed something for insomnia. This song may help.
| |
It's nice. Not picking as much black metal in it, but it's moodier than Shelter.
by roots i mean more le secret and souvenirs, this track resembles them more than it does shelter
and man, is it good
| |
that was nice.
i liked it.
| |
That was sweet. Can't wait for this!
| |
For my first Alcest song ever, I enjoyed that
| |
It started out kind of meh, but gradually got better. I'm glad to hear black metal elements returning.
| |
So stoked for this. Amazing track
| |
@Fullofsounds You gotta hear Ecallies asap it's incredible.
| |
Black metal for weeabos
| |
"You gotta hear Ecallies asap it's incredible." Will do man
| |
The ending reminded me of how Ecailles pt. 1 builds, and explodes at the end.
| |
Welp, that was enough for me to pre-order this on vinyl.

| |
cool
| |
wow this shit sucks bad
| |
It's better than anything from Shelter at least.
| |
Alcest is really hit or miss for me, but this is one of their hits I think
| |
Song rules, album will rule as expected.
| |
Saw Alcest a couple years ago opening for Opeth and it was kind of boring but this is nice. Also I dig the artwork so I'm bound to check it out anyway.
| |
the strange thing is it feels like a natural progression from les voyages de l'ame
when listening to this track it's weird to even picture that shelter even happened
| |
Great track, enjoyed it.
| |
Fuck that's gorgeous
| |
liked it a lot
| |
great song, a welcome return for the screams
| |
If this song is any indication of the album as a whole, it might rival Écailles de Lune.
Incredible song, and it's exactly what I was hoping for.
| |
like Shelter but with more black metal. i really fuck w/ this
| |
"Black metal for weeabos"
gtfo
| |
the last two minutes or so are super Sunbather-esque
| |
"like Shelter but with more black metal. i really fuck w/ this"
Excellent description. The part where the screams came in sent chills down my spine. I can't express how excited I am, holy shit.
| |
song was boring
| |
"Black metal for weeabos"
I can already tell stupid shit like this is going to be common around here.
| |
it already is
| |
Can't say I'm surprised.
"when listening to this track it's weird to even picture that shelter even happened"
Totally agree with this, I don't really see many similarities with Shelter at all. Mostly reminds of Ecailles.
| |
Neige's harsh vocals are probably my favorite in bm.Glad to have them back
| |
They're pretty great, and actually seemed to have a little extra stank on them this time.
| |
Great track.
Based on this alone, it seems as though the album might fall (tonally) somewhere between Écailles de Lune and Shelter. Great to hear Neige's screams again (my favorite in this genre), as well as more driving guitar work.
What bugs me though is how the snare is mixed, as I could hardly hear it at times towards the end of the song.
| |
Neige had great vox, too bad the only raw BM we got from him was the alcest demo, what a shame
| |
Well...
Fuck man that ruled
| |
This is great. I need this album now. And I really liked what I heard of Shelter.
| |
Needed that after the new Opeth single. Top comment was "The growls... They are back" and all I can think of is Pleb's "THE SCREAMS ARE BAAAAAAAAAACK" Opethian dream
| |
Wow, this song ruled. Can't wait for the album
| |
Excellent track
| |
too bad the only raw BM we got from him was the alcest demo
Yeah. He did do vox with Glaciation, though, and they're not the prettiest bm band out there. So that's something, I guess.
New song ruelz, but I hope there are more harsh vox on some of the other tracks than there were here.
| |
damn tis good. the build up is yuge
it seems like everything will be compared to sunbather from now on. cool
| |
shut the fuck up
| |
i like this post more than i like sunbather
| |
fuck sunbather
| |
Sunbather is the pinnacle of music.
| |
if that were true i'd never listen to music ever again
| |
You guys sure do make it a point to bring up Sunbather in any type of post bm threads huh?
| |
sunbather
| |
the last two minutes are so fucking good
| |
this album will be most compared to Ecailles de Lune or maybe Les Voyages, not Sunbather. For reals.
| |
If it's anything like Ecailles it's def gonna be amazing.
| |
Agreed, and I now I begin praying to the gods that their NA tour comes near me.
| |
They came to Pittsburgh either last year or the year before and I missed it. If they come close this time I'm gonna make sure I'm there.
| |
Yeah dude definitely don't miss it. This song put my inner fanboy into full effect, pre-ordering the vinyl.
| |
this is fucking great
| |
omg more good music. this is great cant wait
| |
Best thing they've made in nearly 6 years.
| |
radio (non)black metal
| |
vetimus is that u
| |
i mean ur the only person i've ever seen in all my years on the internet following metal to call Alcest radio black metal, so it's easy to remember lol
| |
im not sure how i feel about this
| |
oh damn neige's screams and the bm are back, song was a1. getting strong Le Secret vibes from this
