Controversial British rapper M.I.A. has finally released details of her new album AIM, which she has claimed will be her last. The album now has a 9/9 release date, after she had threatened to leak it herself. Accompanying the announcement, a new single, Go Off, has also been released, featuring production from Skrillex and Blaqstarr.

Oh no, her last? That's a shame. I'm going to listen to the track right now to see if I should be excited for this or not.

Edit: ...maybe

Has an artist's voice every stayed as unrelentingly uniform in delivery over their entire discography - you could take the vocal track from any verse on any song and put it over any other of her songs and it'd probably be just as suitable. She's ok, but does hearing this get anyone wet in anticipation? She should quit after this release, sounds a totally acceptable decision, she only needed to release one album and here we are on what feels like the tenth installment

This sounds cool but I've always found something a little bit... off about her voice. Shame she's supposedly packing it in though.

Shit bangs; Skrillex can contribute a good beat when he's not pandering to big tent EDM. Shame MIA got dropped from Afropunk though.

honestly skrillex has been pretty good since he stopped making brostep crap. maybe it's just that brostep is like the only genre of 'EDM' that i don't enjoy but damn his collab with Wiwek and his remix of Burial were both fire.
