The cleans are actually pretty interesting. Maybe if they would break out of whatever box the rest of the band is in, they could make a great album.

agreed, here is a mashup I made with phil doing vocals for a Gorguts instrumental with this thought in mind: https://soundcloud.com/brandon-schauer-1/this-is-wasted-mortality-whitechapel-gorguts-mash-up

Like the last album this is a pretty mixed bag, but there are some interesting ideas at work here.
Still wish that Phil would stop telling us how much he doesn't give a fuck, he's such a solid vocalist and it's a shame that the lyrics are usually so sub-par.

like I don't expect the lyrics to be good but they don't have to be cringe-worthy

Less hate than I was expecting. I think the last time I un-sarcastically heard anything from them was 2010. Always seemed like they had the capacity to be pretty great if they weren't creatively middling-out into a stale and dated genre. Maybe I'll give this a shot.
