New Vimic (ex-Scar the Martyr) song

2016-05-16 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 11 Comments
Vimic, the rebranded project formerly known as Scar the Martyr and featuring Jed Simon (ex-Strapping Young Lad), Kyle Konkiel (ex-In This Moment), Kalen Chase (ex-Korn touring), Joey Jordison (ex-Slipknot) and Matthew Tarach, has released the second song from their upcoming new album. The song, "She Sees Everything", premiered on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show.
Guitarist Kris Norris can be seen in press photos and in the music video, however, shortly after the band was officially re-launched he announced his departure from the band.

This'll probably be the only article that doesn't start with "JOEY JORDISON'S NEW BAND"

Oh I thought for a second it was Kyle Konkiel's new band.

In all seriousness though I'm glad they've stopped trying to be a poor man's Slipknot. It's still a bit "meh" but iirc these songs were mainly written by Kris and I have full confidence that if Jed wrote any of the songs then those ones will rule.

Still wish I knew why Joey left Slipknot.

I think personally it's cos he got sick of waiting for a new Slipknot album so released all the stuff he wrote for .5 with STM. The other members got pissy. That's my guess.

But anything with Jed in is worth at least one spin.

.5 was bland af without Joey. Still probably would have been that way with him too though.

Sad to see Kris is still wasting his talent but maybe he'll finally rejoin Darkest Hour now that he's reported to be jumping ship. Only in my dreams...
