Honestly I love the synths they put under their chugs but it doesn't really make it much better. Pretty cool nonetheless but I wouldn't listen to this on a daily basis.

| |
Pretty good/enjoyable song.
| |
solid track
| |
Sam's vocals are solid af.
| |
That uber-quick lead part is pretty decent actually. This is a decent amount better than the last track they put out.
| |
Not half bad, sounds like a continuation of Lost Forever // Lost Together
| |
Dang they went to sounding a lot like fear factory fast.
| |
Solid for new Architects, especially Sam. Now if only they'd stop being Meshuggah wannabes.
| |
this one is quite good
| |
Great song, great guitar tone.
| |
I like this one.
I like this one a lot.
| |
Naysayer was a jam and a half but never tried to get into these guys.
| |
Does it 'bleh'?
| |
Song is boring as hell
| |
Song is boring as hell chug chug bullshit but damn the vocals are stellar.
| |
Song is pretty good. Sam absolutely killed it on this track. Now, we just need to stop the whole "Blegh" thing.
| |
Vocals were decent but otherwise that did nothing for me
| |
meh.
| |
This grew on me massively. Props one of my fave songs by them.
| |
I liked it.
| |
'Song is pretty good. Sam absolutely killed it on this track. Now, we just need to stop the whole "Blegh" thing.'
Wouldn't be Architects without the bleghs lol
| |
The vocals on this are great. I could see this growing on me hard.
| |
song is ok. they are such talented musicians though and because of that it seems to me like they're holding back so much.
| |
lol the video
What's Happening Right Now Is Crucially Important To You
| |
Sam's vocals are killing it like always, and the drums are incredible, but the guitars just sound super uninspired. All the guitars are doing is chugging along
| |
album is gonna be a hard 3
| |
meh
| |
fuck the synths, bring back the riffs
| |
Band has been on a downward spiral since Hollow Crown.
Can't stand those vocals one bit - that half sing/screaming he does is horrendous.
| |
cool track
| |
wait so is it Fear Factory or Meshuggah they're copying? Make your minds up
| |
Seems very uninspired. There are some cool things like literally the only riff in the whole song is decent, the chilled section has some cool guitar build up and the harsh vocals and drums are on point as always but nothing really exciting happened.
Also the pitched scream Sam does is great for heavy moments but why not sing properly during the mellow section? He's a great singer!
Also I like Blegh but that was a badly positioned one and a bit unnecessary.
| |
What is it with these core bands and really really shit drum production
| |
good song and blegh
| |
That half sing/scream thing he does during the softer parts and during the chorus of the other song from this album is fucking mentally hard to do especially at the range he's doing it at and idek how he pulls it off.
| |
Exercise / training
| |
Played the song and literally only noticed it had ended 30 seconds after it actually ended.
And all I'm fucking doing is sitting at a desk.
| |
Sam is excellent at pitch screaming for sure, I just wish it was used a bit more sparingly where he could've just sung normally over the quieter bits. Check Devin Townsend if you want to hear perfect pitched screams.
| |
the pitched screams are horrible.
| |
eh, I like what's there but it's a tad repetitive. Would've been better with a couple more different-sounding heavy sections and cut down the length of the ambient parts
| |
Lol Haven't listened to a whole album by these guys since The Here and Now which was very forgettable.
| |
sspedding you said that already.
and he's pretty much objectively good at them.
| |
His vocals are so damn annoying
| |
What? His vocals are awesome, at least on this song. I love his cleans. Never really listened to this band much but I really like this song.
| |
are we all listening to the same thing here because this is fucking awful in every conceivable way
| |
nah man its fuckin siiiiiick
| |
The intro reminds me of silent planet, weird comparison. Great track.
| |
Those cleans can't be good for your voice. He's really forcing the notes out.
| |
Yeah Chug it doesn't feel good. I spent a couple of weeks trying to nail that kind of vocal in the studio and was coughing up after most takes.
| |
Cool song. I dig it
| |
I think it's time for Architects to change up their sounds. Sam's vocals are good but the harsh vocals need to take a step aside for some cleans. The harsh-esque singing in the softer parts just doesn't fit. Much better than the last single though
| |
I think it's time for them to break up and never pollute my ears again
| |
sigh
| |
Needs riffs
| |
Every song for me just sounds the same, I could be played a vocal snippet of any song and I couldn't get tell you which song it was off.
| |
^
Correct.
| |
Ya new album is disappointing as fuck. Their worst IMO.
| |
Yeah but y'all say that every time they release an album so.
| |
Everything after Hollow Crown is a waste of time.
| |
Not really. The albums after Hollow Crown are less interesting, but still a good listen. This new one is just uninteresting and kinda boring.
