Honestly I love the synths they put under their chugs but it doesn't really make it much better. Pretty cool nonetheless but I wouldn't listen to this on a daily basis.

That uber-quick lead part is pretty decent actually. This is a decent amount better than the last track they put out.

Sam's vocals are killing it like always, and the drums are incredible, but the guitars just sound super uninspired. All the guitars are doing is chugging along

Seems very uninspired. There are some cool things like literally the only riff in the whole song is decent, the chilled section has some cool guitar build up and the harsh vocals and drums are on point as always but nothing really exciting happened.

Also the pitched scream Sam does is great for heavy moments but why not sing properly during the mellow section? He's a great singer!

Also I like Blegh but that was a badly positioned one and a bit unnecessary.

That half sing/scream thing he does during the softer parts and during the chorus of the other song from this album is fucking mentally hard to do especially at the range he's doing it at and idek how he pulls it off.

Played the song and literally only noticed it had ended 30 seconds after it actually ended.

Sam is excellent at pitch screaming for sure, I just wish it was used a bit more sparingly where he could've just sung normally over the quieter bits. Check Devin Townsend if you want to hear perfect pitched screams.

eh, I like what's there but it's a tad repetitive. Would've been better with a couple more different-sounding heavy sections and cut down the length of the ambient parts

Yeah Chug it doesn't feel good. I spent a couple of weeks trying to nail that kind of vocal in the studio and was coughing up after most takes.

I think it's time for Architects to change up their sounds. Sam's vocals are good but the harsh vocals need to take a step aside for some cleans. The harsh-esque singing in the softer parts just doesn't fit. Much better than the last single though

Not really. The albums after Hollow Crown are less interesting, but still a good listen. This new one is just uninteresting and kinda boring.
