this actually rips
| |
Right? Holy shit. This does rip.
| |
Did not see that coming, hory shet.
| |
Hot damn this is awesome.
| |
damn tiiight who knew that Craig Owens could actually make something worthwile
| |
All's Well that End's Well is still a great record, even if a guilty pleasure, in my eyes.
| |
Band name is cringey but I'll check it out I guess
| |
All Chiodos' stuff except Devil is decent. I only ever jam All's Well very occasionally but still.
| |
I jam all Craig's stuff, even Devil. All's Well and Bone Palace are still so much fun.
But yeah, this is tight af
| |
nice defeater artwork
| |
They have named the friend in an article i read it earlier
And yeah this is sick already started a review for it earlier today
| |
can't believe this is actually good lol
| |
Band name is cringey
the irony
| |
The irony
| |
How cheesy
| |
gonna have to tighten the mesh shorts and fitted caps for this one
#PitBeef2016
| |
Dang, upon a cursory listen I can say that the music is great, but the vocals aren't doing it for me (I was hoping for more of a Botch style delivery). Additionally, they seem a little disconnected in the mix, does anyone else think this?
| |
i really expected to hate that, but it's mighty decent.
| |
I'm no authority on grind, but this is pretty sweet.
| |
the drumming sucks but otherwise its actually not bad yeah
| |
That one scream towards the end of "Werewolves, Not Swearwolves" though. Never knew Craig had THIS in him.
| |
Came for the curiosity, stayed for the What We Do in the Shadows reference, downloaded for the notbadness.
| |
Life's weird.
| |
"Werewolves, Not Swearwolves"
nice reference to that one movie, i forgot what its called.
| |
did not expect this even remotely, lol it put me in a very good mood
| |
"i forgot what its called"
what we do in the shadows
theyre doing a sequel focusing on the werewolves apparently
| |
Didn't expect sputnik to like this
Did not expect to not like this
| |
For a throwaway EP, this has more effort put into it that anything else I've seen him do. His vocals remind me of Mike Patton's in DEP.
| |
'theyre doing a sequel focusing on the werewolves apparently'
Fuck yeah. The original was fantastic. I need to see it again.
| |
A werewolf sequel? I am so suddenly pumped; the first film was fantastic.
| |
I like this
I don't like many things
| |
Damn. Solid. Go Craig Owens...
| |
Are those supposed to be actual words?
| |
What the fuck
| |
Still trying to not like it.
But I do
I do like it.
| |
yeah it's awful
| |
It's good, but benefitting hugely from lowered expectations. It's about on par with #12LLY's debut. Not exactly Gridlink-tier.
| |
There's nothing interesting here but I don't listen to anything grind
| |
Yeah they seem a little disconnected in the mix, does anyone else think this?
I definitely agree, couldn't put my finger on it what it was but that's a good way to describe it. They sound off for sure. I like the vocals though, they just could've been mixed better.
It's so surprising from Owens to be honest. It makes me really think why has it taken him so long to do this style of music, because this is waaaaay better than anythig chip dos is done and that was my Highschool jam haha
| |
Rips
| |
Oh cyg and hep don't like it what a surprise
| |
RIPS WHAT THE FUCK
| |
grind for people who hate grind
| |
Shit is bad. Production is awful, everything is programmed to shit and the best part surprisingly is Owens' vocals. But this isn't even remotely grind.
| |
it's not grind but it still fucking rips regardless
| |
damn Craig sounds great on this.
never thought I'd say that..
| |
It sounds like he recorded this using a rock band mic and audacity haha
| |
Is all the positivity here sarcastic or something? Craig's vocals are the most scene-black-eyeliner-straight-hair sounding throat gargles I've ever heard. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a joke because he's definitely not saying any real words.
| |
Would be cool if the screaming wasn't straight nonsense
| |
This is awful
| |
Shame on me for coming here and expecting some legit grind and Craig Owens in the same place. Were I allowed to have lower expectations, I might have thought this was mediocre. But the comments hyped this up for me. This is really bad. See You Next Tuesday type scene grind at very best. The breakdowns and weedly wee bits are pretty stupid. The vocals are decent. The computer plug-in guitar tone and blatantly programmed drums aren't doing it any favors too. This dude has been putting out mediocre to just barely good music his whole career.
| |
this is nowhere near grind, like not even by a mile, still jamz pretty hard for the Chiodos guy
| |
