Fuath stream debut single

2016-01-11 by Gameofmetal EMERITUS | 16 Comments
Andy Marshall's (of Saor fame) new black metal project Fuath is streaming a track from their debut album I at NOCLEANSINGING.com. The track is titled "Blood" and is intended to channel early 90s atmospheric black metal among other influences.

A quote from Andy on the sound of the new album:

“I am a massive fan of hypnotic atmospheric black metal, especially early 90’s stuff like Burzum’s Hvis lyset tar oss, early Darkthrone, and also modern bands such as Paysage d’hiver and Vemod."

“I wanted to create a cold, hypnotic and melancholic black metal album which tried to capture the feelings I felt listening to these bands. I always come back to these types of bands when winter comes along and I feel their sounds are perfect for this time of year, almost kind of spiritual in a way.”

Stream the track below:

I is due for a February 1 release through Neuropa records.

I fucking love this, holy shit. I definitely see the Hvis Lyset Tar Oss-era Burzum influence.

I hear Burzum in the way he utilized repetition, but yes, getting a strong Paysage vibe as well. Either way, this album should be great. Pleasantly surprised by this considering how much I dislike "cold" black metal anymore.

Been pretty hyped for this since Marshall unveiled the cover art a few months back. Track doesn't disappoint so consider me even more excited

"but he's still doing saor right?"

Yup. He's been working on album 3 for a while now. That being said, he doesn't know when it'll be finished nor released yet.
