Bono's a pretentious bastard...who makes some fairly bad music. And Bob Geldof is a hypocrite who only believes in charity when he is getting recognition I just read a week ago about him bashing another event...Live Earth possibly I'm not sure.

Haha, el goodo. Don't you realize why he bashed Al Gore's Live Earth? Because it doesnt help anyone/thing.
Think about it, hes flying a bunch of bands on private jets to a power draining concert, where he will talk about people having to stop driving to work and use bikes.
Bob Geldof is pretty stuck up but he knows what the hell hes talking about.
And if Bono was elected, well, we could say good bye to any lowered taxes.

i see the list of your favorite bands. some "pretentious bastards" on there, too. and more then any of them Bono has put very real efforts where his and the ideals of his music lie. you seem to worship Dylan, Lennon, Megadeth, etc....but can't give it up for someone who has used his position as a rock star to try to make the world a better place in a very real way, not just singing some song or getting high and giving the world the finger.
