That being said, while I like their previous album, it's no where near as good or consistent as it's predecessors.

My buddy asked me if I heard this news earlier today, and I just said he hasn't really been a huge part of the band as of late anyways. Hope their next album can go back to the quality of their early albums.

Hayley is the only founding member left, but Taylor York is still in. He's been involved since the debut but only became an official member in 2009.

not sure if hayley ever really believed the whole "paramore is a band" scheme, it's always been her and her only. last album was trash, but all of the early stuff was enjoyable (except crush crush, miss me with that nonsense)

You spend most of your life learning how to play this instrument and you end up becoming the bassist for fucking Paramore.

Then imagine getting older and realizing you won't make any money or play big shows being a virtuoso so you end up joining a band like Paramore.

Even though I'm not really fan of these, I still respect the brother's for leaving. This guy probably wanted to fill his pockets a little more before jumping ship, but fair play to him.

When they were touring with Tegan and Sara in 2010, I had a chat with the guitarist of T&S (old family friend -- Canada is a smaller country) and all he had to say about this guy was: "yeah, he's a weird dude. Not a good weird dude, just a weird dude."

Can't really say this band has excited me for a while now. Don't think this guy leaving is going to result in any positive improvement to fix that.
That being said, 'Part II' was gorgeous.

I went to a Paramore show a few years back and honestly, besides Hayley's vocals, this guy's bass playing was the only notable musical talent present. He really is skilled.

So yes, it is, without a doubt, a Hayley Williams solo vehicle now.

yep they've gone from being a band to being a solo projcet for Hayley at this point. though i thought they really showed no real signs of being a band since Brand new eyes (even without the farro brothers, they still did have the bassist. he could've helped more than they let him, since he could play his instrument pretty well)
