Post-Mortem was the only time I bought an album going into it blind and ended up with a crap album. Normally when I take a punt on an album I've never bought it's turned out OK. Post-Mortem wasn't necessarily bad but it was just, I dunno, hollow. A below average Bullet for my Valentine rip off.

Catchy =/= good, at least in this case. I actually thought Light From Above, despite its issues, was a rather passable and fun debut album. This act screwed themselves over. The only thing I can remember about their recent output is that Honest Eyes was used in Street Fighter X Tekken.

I actually felt the opposite . I thought Post Mortem, despite being more of a rip off, was the better album.

Agree about Catche =/= good. Like Crazy Town's new album. I gave it a 5/10 because it's crap bit it's catchy as fuck and fun if you want something to listen to in the background of a party and not have to focus on how terrible the lyrics are.

I was largely a 'Light From Above' era fan of this band, but a lot of that was because they were 13 years old and absolutely slaying the whole 80's metal homage thing, but ever since they grew up a bit they seem to have forgotten how to play their instruments and branching into their "own" thing seems to be failing them. I'd be more than happy with a sequel to 'Light From Above' it was a fun album.

Speaking of which, Warriors of Time is still a jam, tbqh. Shockwave is also fairly dece.

good to know these guys still going, I saw them on the a7x tour back when the frontman was still in middle school
always thought these guys make some good catchy brain-dead radio rock.

Vocals are pretty good at least
