Whole album is stunning. Ríoseco, Arcs Of Command, Darkfield and the title track are beastly numbers. Run Dry is a beautiful acoustic effort from them, too.

Band can do no wrong!

Okay, I'm intrigued. Where's the best place to start if you've never heard this band before?

I'd say that their best is either this or Waking Season, but it's been only two days so I can't really say anything with complete certainty. Their EP, Hymn for the Greatest Generation, is also wonderful.

I'd start with their debut EP You Are the Conductor. Very easy to get into.

You Are the Conductor and The Four Trees are definitely where to start with this band. Also this album rules.

give it a proper headphone listen minty. I'm surprised at anyone who doesn't like this - it's perfection!

I did give it a proper headphone listen. I enjoyed that session with it but somethings stopping me getting excited about it. Arcs of Command is excellent, and I can't fault some of the other tracks but, I dunno, I can't force myself to care about music but I wish I could because it's technically good and has all the right ingredients. Also I do wish it was better played in a car stereo but it seems to only really have the impact I want it to have when I give it a headphones listen. Otherwise the atmosphere it crafts just falls away. It's an album that I wish I liked more.

i think with music like this you have to wait for it to grab you, not the other way around. maybe one day you'll look back at it more fondly.
