That riff during the chorus works with the vocals fairly well, but the guitars are too quiet to really have the driving, epic feel they feel like they should have to make the chorus really powerful. It sort of sounds like karaoke with Draiman just singing over pre-recorded riffs instead of singing with a band. Turn the guitars up pl0x.
That said this isn't that bad. Not really good, but leagues ahead of the other junk they put out for this record so far.

There's always that creeping suspicion that the songs they're releasing are the only ones with any mettle. I want to see how they handle 16 tracks. Not well, most likely, but I'm interested.

Yeah I was actually, these guys pretty much got me into metal so I have massive nostalgia for the band, plus i still really enjoy a lot of their older material. But this album is just bland as fuck so far, and that weed song is a joke.

So many here hating on Disturbed who are ostensibly going to listen to this new album and give it a 1. Album will be a 3 really, calling it now

Listening to it right now, definitely on par with Asylum so far.

It's pretty cool and a bit more varied than we're used to from them. Pity about that weed song, though...

I feel like they're being a bit more melodic this time around, which isn't a bad thing tbh. Though the last time they went in that direction it resulted in Indestructible which is their worst album imo.
