Cluster's Dieter Moebius dies 2015-07-20 by praise jimmy EMERITUS | 2 Comments | As reported by Michael Rother of Neu! and Harmonia (the band founded by Moebius, Rother and Hans-Joachim Roedelius), Cluster and Harmonia's founder Dieter Moebius has passed away today at the age of 71.
Moebius was a central figure in the creative revival of West Germany of the 1970s. Cluster is also known for their collaborations with Brian Eno, which would influence Eno to experiment with ambient music. Moebius would go on to be a prolific solo artist as well throughout the years.
Moebius' contributions to the music scene of West Germany, as well to the ambient genre is immeasurable and wouldn't be the same without him.
