Fuck yes
| |
Its pretty bad
| |
It was pretty good. Nothing too amazing though. I hate when bands say "they are going back to their roots" because it inevitably leads to fans being disappointed.
Spirit: I'm surprised you didn't like this more having 5'd their last album. This could definitely fit in on there.
| |
This sounds a lot less 'produced' (I guess) than their last albums
| |
It sounds just as produced as Collide with the Sky to me..
| |
Has everything that made me like these guys in the first place, awesome
| |
Maybe produced wasn't the word I'm looking
| |
THIA IS SO GOOD
| |
Since their debut was their weakest LP (if still decent), why would they want to go "back to their roots"?
| |
their core fan base really enjoyed flair, plus I read somewhere in an interview where the band said music from that era PTV was much more enjoyable to make/play
| |
Flair may be Pierce the Veil's oldest lp, but the main members of PTV were in a band called Before Today prior to member changes and renaming the group PTV (PTV is actually a song name on the only album released by "Before Today). Before Today's album was actually far superior to Flair and Selfish Machines imo. If they wrote tracks more in the vein of Before Today, I would not be opposed.

Vic's vocals are a little weak here in my opinion
| |
Whoa, this was neat.
| |
pretty good
| |
This is one of the few times a band says they're going back to their roots and it actually sounds like their first album. Not that all their albums don't have a similar sound but this really sounds like a beefed up version of something you'd hear on Flair
| |
I don't like it, but to be fair I don't really like PTV. Vic has a really irritating voice
| |
pretty generic imo...just a single though, hopefully the album will contain more interesting tracks
| |
Back to their roots? eww no thanks. Hope the rest of the album better
| |
didn't immeediately love it. the only other time that's been the case for me was with bulls in the bronx and i eventually dug that
stoked for the new LP regardless
| |
this is no bulls in the bronx let's not get ahead of ourselves here lol
| |
Going back to your roots is kinda pointless when you already sound like you did to begin with. Sure the production is better in Collide With the Sky and Selfish Machines, but in my opinion, they never had a big change of sound. So I'm kinda disappointed because this song sounds like everything else Pierce the Veil has made, even with the same lyricism. But I guess they'll keep writing songs about depression/suicide/self-harm until it stops working in their favor I suppose. I haven't lost hope for this new LP, but The Divine Zero doesn't get me excited for it.
| |
this is no bulls in the bronx let's not get ahead of ourselves here lol[2]
| |
please don't copy me
| |
Ugh, those vocals
| |
anyways the song sounds really watered down. not really that special. lyrics come off as really contrived and cheesy, wouldn't matter if the music picked up the slack but it's not memorable at all except for a really awkwardly placed breakdown and these awkward electronic flourishes. really hope the rest of the album is better
| |
and yeah i love vics voice usually but i can't stand it on this song for some reason
| |
calm down
| |
i'm starting the song and immediately hate the vocals
| |
Eh I don't really care for this. Never really got this band.
| |
This band is so meh.
| |
i would fight all of you if i liked this song
| |
Last 2 albums were almost perfect. I guess my expectations were understandably too high.
It goes alright. But the vocals were a bit weak I love his vocals.
| |
If it weren't for the vocals, I could probably enjoy this.
| |
Never understood the hype revolving around this band.
| |
this fucking rules
| |
this is no bulls in the bronx let's not get ahead of ourselves here lol [3]
| |
It's dece
| |
Song rules
| |
His voice is still noticeably weaker than it has been on the two last PTV albums, but after listening to this on headphones, it's growing on me. I really miss the power-pop influences though.
| |
bulls in the bronx is like the worst song on collide by a sizeable margin
| |
The vocalist simply ruins this band
| |
He is the best thing about it. Listen to anything on Collide. It's just not his best performance here.
| |
I'd say it's average
| |
I'm kind of a PTV fanboy and I think this rules. Surprise, surprise.
For the record, it doesn't sound that much like Flair to me but whatever. Hyped for the LP whenever that drops.
| |
It's not bad. Leaning toward good, actually. It's piqued my interest; let's just say that.
| |
THIS IS STILL SO GOOD
| |
Fun song.
| |
This didn't do much for me, still reppin' 'King For A Day' like a boss though.
Even though the guest vocalist on that one does less for me than the PTV guy.
| |
Can't stand this guy's voice. I've heard worse from them though, not atrocious.
| |
Didn't really dig this at all.
| |
its just so good
| |
ONLY PROBLEM is they could lay off the electronics a tad, if they did that it'd be literally perfect
| |
It's okay.
| |
ONLY PROBLEM is they could lay off the electronics a tad, if they did that it'd be literally perfect [2]
I mean maybe not perfect but a lot better
| |
Single is extremely underwhelming when compared to stuff off the previous album.
Wonder what happened.
| |
I really don't see how people don't like this. It would fit right into Collide with the sky..
| |
Collide with the Sky was amazing, this just sticks out like a soar thumb by this point. Never liked their previous albums though, and judging from the sound of the single, I'm not going to be a fan of it. It lacks all the ambition, energy and pompousness of Collide. Also, his voice is awful in this one.
| |
sooooo is that album actually gonna happen or nah?
| |
given enough time, yeah
| |
STOP I THOUGHT THIS WAS NEW IM LIVID
but yea their label confirmed new music from them this year in a twitter post so
