sounds like a band that's running out of ideas, and should work harder at making worthwhile material
| |
Certainly interesting
Not really digging winstons vocals at the beginning
Riffs cool tho. Chorus is most defintetly a chorus

0/10

Considering how much I loved Atlas, this was pretty disappointing. I kept waiting for the song to start goin but it just stayed at this boring slow speed. That being said, the skydiving part was pretty dope
| |
disappointing
| |
havent checked these guys out since Deep Blue, and eek they got baaaaad
| |
oh yes, back in business. Hope this isn't a representation of the whole album though; they're always best when they're frantic and aggressive rather than anthemic imo (although the anthems are always a laugh live)
| |
i always find it hilarious when all these bad metalcore fanboys are overly enthusiastic over nothing.
| |

^ This hard. I face palmed as soon as I heard the vocals.
| |
I always find it hilarious when all these elitist bastards appear and start showing their superior music taste by swinging their 3" dicks around.
youtube comments > sputnik comments
at least youtube doesn't think it's cleverer than it is
| |
i agree, im no elitist though
| |
I see that 5 for the upcoming counterparts, you naughty dog.
I'd say elitism's pretty much a prerequisite for using this site
| |
PD has always been a guilty pleasure for me. They're stuff is hit and miss but better than most of the generic metalcore out there.
But this. This is the worst thing they've ever done hands down.
| |
damn i remember when this band was good
| |
This song sucks balls
| |
"One life, one shot, give it all you got"
Well, that happened...
| |
horrible
| |
This won't be like the rest of the album.
| |
Song is okay.
| |
Could use a changeup or something to keep the back half of the track interesting but those leads are kinda infectious
| |
lmao what the fuck is this
| |
Ya this is one of the worst things I've ever heard
| |
Hilarious
| |
Don't confuse cheesy with bad. Chorus is a bit over the top, but the song is overall well done.
| |
Please just either die or go back to Deep Blue
| |
From what I've gathered, while Atlas was more experimental for them, I think this might be more geared towards live performances. This song is pretty standard Parkway, but the video is cool.
| |
badasss!!!!!!!
| |
Wow this is bad
| |
If you really need this genre in your life do yourself a favor and stick to August Burns Red. Even Silverstein. But this is just crap.
| |
it's too bad their music is so lame these days, Killing with a Smile is a legitimately good album even if you're not into this genre (which I generally am not)
| |
Not bad.
| |
"If you really need this genre in your life do yourself a favor and stick to August Burns Red. Even Silverstein. But this is just crap."
Don't bring that shit up if you can only name bands from this genre in the past 5 years. Silverstein isn't even metalcore
| |
While it's by no means unlistenable, it definitely doesn't compare with their other material. Winston has stated that this is the lightest song on the album, so I'm definitely gonna check the rest out before I judge.
| |
Since when PWD became a hopecore band or is it some sick Memphis May Fire cover?
Hope to the hopeless
Voice to the voiceless
Peace to the restless
Home to the homeless
Pennies to the penniless (c)
| |
Vid is ok tho, some sort of Karma v2, when surfing is not enough.
| |
riff is cool. Song kind of goes nowhere after the beginning.
| |
omg I really enjoy these guys, especially live but this is just terrible, boring riffs, atrocious vocals, ridiculous arena style chorus. definetely the worst thing they ever did.
| |
haha wtf is this
| |
Man those lyrics are so bad.
| |
Killing With A Smile was my shit back in the day. Still love that album. Newer stuff has been ok.
| |
Continuing the downward spiral started with Deep Blue and continued with Atlas.
| |
80s hair metal/10
| |
Sounds like new All That Remains. Which is obviously not a good thing.
| |
Sounds like parkway drive wants to be Bon Jovi. At least the vocalist still sounds good even if the lyrics aren't.
| |
Boring and standard (though the leads are kinda fun). Sadly, this is one of Winston's weakest tracks ever.
| |
why do u still defend them. this is just utter shit. be disappointed in their failing performance and plight of creativity. metalcore fanboys are all the same in this way, i dont get it. I use to be one, its like not even rational its just pure wearing the band on their sleeves and if they put out something bad they just shrug and pray for more, its a little ridiculous after seeing it failure after failure for awhile. And i can list these failures.
| |
This is abysmal
| |
Kind of stupid, but it's actually really good
| |
Shit sandwich
| |
ewwww dude metal claims another
| |
Jesus, What happened? Atlas was a melodic symphony which was such a change of style for them, and now they are a Bon Jovi cover band? I hope this doesn't represent the rest of the album. Prob will though.
Also, TheCollectiveFacade, shut the fuck up.
| |
This was so disappointing
Also, TheCollectiveFacade, shut the fuck up. [2]

In other horrible Parkway Drive news, they covered Bulls on Parade at Rock Am Ring
Brace yourselves

I can see you are angst and gloom reincarnate. Just let a band make what they want to make.
Goddamn this site.
| |
lmao this is atrocious...
| |
the hell is this?
| |
Atrocious.
| |
*yawn When's August Burns Red album coming out?
| |
oh my god...there have been cringeworthy lyrics in their discography before but nothing like this. this is such tryhard positivity, Winston just pulled this out of his ass. add the lazy riffs and annoying chorus and you have one giant turd for a song.
| |
You guys really hate positivity damn
| |
its just realism
| |
I used to love them back in "Killing with a Smile" and "Horizons". "Deep Blue" was solid too, "Atlas" was a bit of letdown but liked it still, somehow. But this ... this sucks. (Although, I understand that they, maybe, got bored of playing the same old - same old all over again and wanted to try something new and I accept it.) But for me personally, it's the end of PWD.
RIP
| |
why are people still commenting on this after the dear hunter news article wtf?
| |
Didn't like it at all at first, but it kinda grows on you. Might have something to do with that I saw them live yesterday and they played it though. A whole album like this would still suck.
| |
i like the guitar. but the chorus is just no good, what`s up with the lyrics? why yeahyeah stuff? i really don't know what to say, i loved their first 3 records, their 4th was pretty decent, all in all my fav band till beginning of the year.
also the soft breakdown just confuses me
i have to think about this
| |
not amazing but not terrible either, read an interview with the band about the new record and they've said they've taken a few chances and tried some new things on the record. So maybe this song isn't the best indication of where things are going, more just a safe song to release instead of alienating people? I've liked these guys since kwas and prefer their older material but i'll still be checking this out.
| |
adding "yeahs" and singing isnt taking chances or trying something new, its what almost every metalcore band does eventually.
| |
JEek off to it then
| |
Not even i can defend this
| |
this is absolute shit. Literally if you like this pls die
| |
