Don't like this at all.
|
| |
Other than that weak hook, this is much better than the cornball shit I've heard from Hopsin in the past. Mild hype for this album
|
| |
thought he quit rapping
|
| |
I think that was a hoax or something.
|
| |
that's a shame
|
| |
Wow, this was actually really not good!
|
| |
well i guess the beats don't sound like they were made in garage band anymore, so there's always that
|
| |
He claimed that he quit rap as an awful publicity stunt.
|
| |
Gross...the double time trend needs to gtfo its not that cool...the whole 15 guys jumpin around behind you trend needs to gtfo as well, its super gay... how about rapping about something not cliche such as bitches, dicks and 'hoods' ... this guy sucks
|
| |
Who would have thought? Slight improvement! It still sucks the chrome off of doorknobs, but at least it doesn't rip them off the door anymore.
|
| |
he quit as a stunt? what a fuckhead, I actually have zero respect for him as an artist
|
| |
[3]
|
| |
Dude has released some cringeworthy material. The verses are a step up for him but that chorus is so lame and uninspired. It's like he didn't even try on it.
|
| |
it's an improvement verse wise from Knock Madness but yeah the hook really hurts the song
|
| |
[4]
but for real he should drop his first royalty check on a ticket back to australia and stay there in the outback forever or until a drop bear gets him
|
| |
this video is stupid and it takes away focus from his lyrics and rhyme patterns, but >>>>> Kendrick
|
| |
No-one compared it to Kendrick because that's dumb shut up
|
| |
hopsin is an authentic, genuine, premium gc
|
| |
i wouldnt be mad if hopsin just fucked off forever
|
| |
Have heard this dude like once before, but seems to me he's more genuine and less shitty than most of the rappers he's shitting on. Definitely some immaturity, but definitely less than most. Song's alright.
|
| |
It's funny whenever you point out that mediocre rappers are coming up with better verses than kendrick, the response is always "they aren't comparable"
Wtf are you talking about? they are the same genre from the same city and have the same style only kendrick sucks whereas hopsin only sucks slightly
|
| |

How is it any different?

King Kunta and Rigamortis are the same thing as this
|
| |
"Gtfo". Lol. I haven't seen that one in a while.
|
| |
faggots. now share your views of same sex marriage with me now.
|

Lambs, why do you always have to go after Kendrick? I get that you're frustrated with the fact that everyone treats him as the gold standard in rap, but you don't have to drag Kendrick into a conversation about Hopsin to prove a point, especially because the point you're trying to make is about Kendrick's quality. this is a music video Hopsin dropped, talk about Hopsin instead
|
| |
I like Lambs' style.
Dude, Kendrick is all anyone talks about when a new release comes out and over 500 people on here gave him a classic rating for TPAB, so you can blame them for making him the artist these other rappers need to live up to.
|
| |
@dbizzles I agree, but I don't see why Lambs needs to compare Kendrick to anyone else if he doesn't even enjoy Kendrick's music in the first place
|
| |
Fair enough. I like section 80 and gdmc, but can hardly listen to tpab. I still find myself making comparisons.
|
| |
I enjoy Kendricks music actually i just think hes the most overrated rapper ever.
i bring him up because everyone on this site loves him and hates hopsin, and I honestly don't see much difference between them at all. If anything Hopsin at least has some funny/witty lines every once in a while
|
| |
Goddamn that's just a flat out retarded thing to say. Neither One has anything in common with the other, other then the fact that they both rap. Lyrical content is different, flow is different, and word play is different. God, you're so fucking ignorant and/or stupid it's not even funny.

explain how they are different instead of just saying 'they are different. god you are so fucking stupid/retarded/ignorant goddamn fuck'
|
| |
I gave you several reasons that back it up. Stop being stupid.
|
| |

Get over it dude, there will never be another Eminem.
|
| |
no you gave several allegations and didn't back up shit
you said 'his lyrical content is different... ' you didnt say how, because it isn't any different
|
| |
I shouldn't have to give specifics because it's pretty blatant, but here ya go:
Hopsin is about punchlines and making jokes. Kendrick isn't. As simple as that sounds, it's the truth, and you're either too dead or too ignorant to hear it.
|
| |
So you can't compare them because one is more about punchlines than the other?
not sure that makes sense
|
| |
Actually, I've been comparing them since you randomly brought Kendrick up in a thread unrelated to him. And yes, Kendrick doesn't make almost every single one of his songs about skating and acting like a child while joking about the same shit he was joking about in high school. Then again, I'm not surprised you like Hopsin more. He's more on your age level.
|
| |
how about rapping about something not cliche such as bitches, dicks and 'hoods' [2]
|
| |
'Hopsin is about punchlines and making jokes. Kendrick isn't.'
I'd venture to say they both made a lot of stupid jokes in a lot of their songs and have a lot of similarities in their emergence to the mainstream culture, albeit one being much more successful in a commercial sense than the other over the last few years.
Hopsin's most recognized songs are his most serious, at least most serious to him, and that is where he came up, so to speak, alongside many novelty tracks.
Kendrick came up much the same with his most respected songs being serious but with a bunch of silly shit carrying the weight that made him appeal more to the masses.
The big difference is when Kendrick became what a lot of users around here think is 'revolutionary' because he made an album that was mostly supposed to mean a lot and consisted of a new style with a mixed bag of relevant and irrelevant social issues at the forefront.
But, what do I know? I'm a 26 year-old white dude that casually enjoys hip-hop and gave TPAB an average rating.
|
| |
Never thought I'd hear someone say "Kendrick Lamar is too mature for you"'lmao
I missed the part where hopsin makes "every single one of his songs about skating and acting like a child", probably because it didn't happen. Tbh he actually makes more mature music than Kendrick by far but not when you think cliche songs about fake heroes like Michael Jackson and Nelson Mandela are profound, I guess.
|
| |
This guy huh
|
| |
He has some talent, but from the songs I've heard just can't put it together well. Better rapper than some mainstream acts, but yeah bad hook, mediocre beat, too much double-time, not enough lyrical content for a rapper that tries to act somewhat high-brow. Still, not as bad as this thread makes it out to be.

Fucking hell how can you compare Hopsin to Kendrick Lamar
|
| |
pretty sure people compare anything to do with hip hop to kendrick lamar
|
| |
^^he's got it
|
| |
They are basically the same thing, talented LA rappers that are half-wack and not shit in their own city, but have a bunch of people who barely listen to hip hop at all and never been to LA once calling them king.
|
| |
I hear dudes in Bmore blasting this shit non-stop... Must be legit.
