Well, yeah. The lyrics are pretty terrible, but that riff is actually sweet. I have a weak spot for sludge tinted alt rock. Kind of reminds me of the style of 4th of July by Soundgarden. Vox are okay, but not great.

That was pretty bad, and I'm a big Incubus fan.

We all are, buddy. Anyone bothering to keep up with them at this point has a 90 percent chance of being in the same boat.

I enjoyed Absolution Calling and Trust Fall, but I did not feel this one.

However, it's a bit dumb to compare this to their past stuff from late-90s/early-00s. They've grown up, and they try new things that may click with you or not.

Just listened again. Liked it even more the second time. Ignoring the lyrics, it's a jam forreal. I don't even care.

How do they get older and yet come up with more childish lyrics? I mean, I guess the music is more interesting than their last (very weak) album, but they seem to be lost...

I do get the hate though. To expand on what Willie just pointed out. I love Brandon Boyd and errthang, but he HAS to be in his 40s at this point and one of his worst tendencies is to write lyrics like a love sick teenager, and here it is just put on embarrassing display. Bar that though, and it really is a solid track. I think making this a lyric video just made it all the worse since it kinda forced you to focus on them.

Listened but didn't watch, loved it. 2nd time watched the video...cringed.

yeah hopefully this is just the worst song off the EP but its not awful. the last track they release better not suck.

So, I actually really love the riff and some of the other musical things going on. They could have developed this into something cool with these trappings. But the vocals and lyrics are absolutely cringe-worthy, and the song structure is boring as hell. Oh, and the synths at the end are 100 percent lame.

This band is dead, I wish deftones weren't touring with them.

The last track (Dance Like You're Dumb) is on youtube and it sounds a whole lot better than this track. Might even be my favorite off the EP it's just really fun

I actually really like If Not Now When, but this has to be one of the most cringeworthy things I have ever heard from any band, let alone Incubus.

it's on YouTube, it's a dancey track but done far better than this and there's an actual sense of irony/making fun of themselves about it

I'm sure lots of us have already heard all the songs, but the EP was released on Spotify today.

Why can't incubus make dirty immature lyrics and other bands get props for it? Incubus has to be the most judged band ever! They must fill their venues with a bunch of butt hurt "fans", that give up on their new music 30 seconds into the song. If your giving up on them without a fair share of optimistic listening then you don't really understand them.
