It's been long enough, I thought the band was dead...

I've never been a massive fan, as I always thought they weren't extremely inventive, but, still, everything I've heard from them is at least great. This seems to be as well.

This is basically what the last two Opeth records should have been

first time listening to this band. I'm 2 minutes into the first track, and yea this totally sounds like new Opeth.

Lol is this the b-side collection of Heritage?

Goes a long way saying how 'original' new Opeth are tbh

Love the art as well but I can't believe this sounds like something taken straight from the 70s. I'd rather listen to those bands instead

It's Opeth that "rip off" bands like Anekdoten, not the other way around.

Anekdoten has been playing this since consistently since their early days. Not sure how that allows for them to rip off Opeth, who've been playing mediocre progressive rock for only a few years now.

I guess a lot of people compared this to heritage just because Opeth are much more famous.
