About damn time! :D
| |
Good or bad, gonna jam hard.
| |
Everything about this, from the single name to the album name, SCREAMS generic.
| |
I totally agree but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. The band posted a snippet of the single with vocals via their Facebook page, if anyone is interested.
| |
they are so samey but so good. Sounds heavier than their other stuff which is nice. I can't wait.
| |
Snippet sounds like a Phobia b-side in the best possible way
| |
they still exist ?
| |
I'm gonna be be on a BB binge for a while now
| |
They didn't until recently.
| |
Always had a soft spot for these guys! Can't wait to hear this.
| |
yup sounds very phobia and pretty great
| |
I actually listened to the two teasers and found them somewhere between rehashed and generic. I like this guys but looks like there's nothing great to expect from this album. As a look at the title can tell.
| |
They're generic as hell, but they sure know how to write a catchy generic hard rock song. Or maybe I'm thinking of their earlier stuff. It'll be interesting to see how this sounds.
| |
Not expecting this to be any good but I'll check for old times sake
| |
Ooh, new musicians. I wonder if they can talk Ben into getting into a plane!
| |
Red's guitarist? So... strings?
| |
nope
probably not the same producer
| |
@Davey, hahaha, they might even convince him to drive a car
| |
Or convince him to learn to play the guitar...
wait why am I shitting on him, I love this band.
| |
OMG OMG OMG
| |
Nostalgia band/ Gonna jam hard.
| |
Pretty stoked for this.
| |
Kinda doubt this will be any good, but I'm willing to admit I'm wrong.
| |
I've always found these guys to be just as horrible as their other cock rock contemporaries and don't understand why there's all these other people that don't
| |
Turrible turrible band
| |
Finally ! I have been listening to Phobia and Dear agony in the last few days . the teaser shounds promising
| |
Thought Phobia was okay. Is any of their other stuff worth giving a try?
| |
All their stuff is pretty comparable tbh, so however you felt about phobia is probably how you'd feel about their other works. They're a pretty consistent "3" band.
| |
This will be pretty bad, but still going to jam it hard.
| |
@iamamanfromspace - it's because they had/have the potential to be an amazing band but tend to go the lazy/generic route, I think in part because Ben has some phobias and was an alcoholic for a bit.
Their first 2 albums had some neat stuff going on though.
| |
Disagree with first two, since Saturate was pretty bad. Though I do agree that We Are Not Alone and Phobia had a lot of good things happening.
| |
gonna be shit
| |
holy shit the nostalgia
| |
they had a few good songs
| |
Ahh yeah, I keep forgetting about Saturate. I meant We Are Not Alone and Phobia.
Wasn't Saturate like Tool Lite or something?
| |
I mean -- and this is coming from a "fan boy" of theirs -- they've always seemed like they've hinted that they're way better than Three Days Grace, Seether and all those acts. "So Cold," "Forget It" and "You Fight Me" are good examples. They, especially on Dear Agony, often play down to their contemporaries.
| |
One thing is certain, they excel at their arena pop-rock, metalish sound. It's nice to hear Ben's vocals at what the group does best, but this seems like it's more Dear Agony than Phobia or We Are Not Alone. That doesn't bode well for me.
| |
^I agree.
They just need to push themselves a little more. If you took all their best songs in terms of song writing and musicianship, you'd have 1 LP worth of material... from like 3 albums total.
| |
more Dear Agony than Phobia or We Are Not Alone [2]
To be honest it feels a bit too much like Dear Agony's t/t but oh well that's my favorite BB album so I'm ok with that.
| |
oh fuck no
| |
oh fuck yes
| |
"Ben has some phobias and was an alcoholic for a bit."
For a bit is an understatement. He has brain damage from how much he drank.
| |
I like how they got their band name, so inspiring
| |
i have to say, if it werent for this band, i wouldnt have discovered tool and really expanded my music taste
| |
Yeah this band got me into Tool as well. Chevelle too
| |
Yessssssssssss
| |
I hope it isn't shit.
| |
[2]
| |
Don't know if anyone knows, but there's an extended preview, with vocals, on the bands Youtube
| |
Gonna jam this so hard. Used to listen to these guys 24/7 and they pretty much began my music addiction, leading me to listen to everything I do now
| |
New single is pretty great.
| |
Pretty much a straight continuation from Dear Agony.
| |
Will always have a soft spot for these guys.
| |
Basically Dear Agony's t/t + The Diary Of Jane.
| |
hahaha fucking love this
| |
song is great
| |
Seriously, even though they're generic, Ben really knows how to write catchy songs.
| |
the riff is a recycled "Fade Away". Still rules though.
