Mike Vennart, of British Theatre, Biffy Clyro's touring band, and former British progressive rock act Oceansize, has launched a Pledgemusic campaign for his, as yet untitled, solo record.

The record is set for a physical release on May 25th, and is available in CD and vinyl formats through the Pledgemusic store, alongside various memorabilia such as lyric sheets, prints and Mike Vennart's signature guitar pedal. Pledgers recieve an instant download of a track from the upcoming album, entitled 'Infatuate'.

The campaign can be found here:

Oceansize should just get back together. None of them really have done shit since they broke up.

I could see them getting back together eventually, but I don't see Heron returning.

As big of an Oceansize fan as I was, I thought their last album was pretty lackluster. You could tell they were out of ideas. And the stuff Vennart is releasing so far is ok, but really not up to the same level of quality as Oceansize's earlier stuff. So even if they did get back together, I wouldn't expect much out of it. I will check this out though when it gets released.

Infatuate is better than most of oceansize's last album. So i have high hopes.

Same, I am a massive Oceansize fan. I loved Oceansize's last album. It wasn't as good as Frames or Everyone into Position, but it was still a great record on its own.

Yeah, I agree. If anything to me SPWTBFU was Oceansize's weirdest album, so it took a long time to learn to love, but I do love it. Frames reigns king though.
