Morbid Angel working on new material

2014-12-19 by Insurrection | 32 Comments
Floridian death metal legends Morbid Angel are done touring and are ready to write for their ninth studio album. After briefly dipping their toes into industrial territory on their critically acclaimed opus Illud Divinum Insanus, it's hard to say where the band will go from here.

Vocalist and bassist David Vincent said this in a recent interview with Planet Mosh TV:

“It’s time to write. Whatever it ends up being is whatever it ends up being. I don’t think about anything when I’m creating. It comes and that’s what happens.”

So the million dollar question is: will Morbid Angel expound on the nu-industrial movement they teased with 'Radikult', or will they go back to their true death metal roots? Unfortunately, only time will tell.

In the meantime, don't forget to check out the Illud Divinum Insanus - The Remixes compilation for your Morbid Angel fix!

The remixes weren't actually that bad from what I forced myself to listen.

I know they [the band] were pretty mad when people listened to the leak and started complaining a lot
on their facebook page, so hopefully they got the message and will stick to what they now absolutely
know their fanbase wants.

Something tells me they will released a watered-down death metal release; the kind that they want fans to like but just clearly aren't feeling the music and want to do something else.

^Question is: will country Angel have a lower rating than industrial Angel?

Also, a country band called Morbid Angel sounds hilarious.

Ummmmmmmmmm nope, critics hated it and laughed at them. Should I provide proof or edit the news before you get embarrassed ; ).
