thx g0d

whenever i read about this band i can't stop imagining them as the most fucking hipster band ever, idk why
|
| |
These guys had a few cool songs here and there but they absolutely nose dived in quality the longer they went on
|
| |
Their first three albums are all brilliant. Gonzo was a huge disappointment. I had kind of wished they'd give it another try though, and maybe end on a higher note.
|
| |
I liked Gonzo more than a lot of people but when I saw them live recently they really lacked the energy and passion they used to have. Eric seemed very disinterested. I think a hiatus is probably their best bet right now.
|
| |
these guys (along with tera melos and the fall of troy) were my first real show and it was fucking crazy. always had a kind of a soft spot for them.
|
| |
^ completely agree with elephant, this is for the best. They've been coasting and it's more obvious than ever. I think they were really disappointed that The Church Of Rock And Roll didn't blow them sky high.
|
| |
It's too bad, they where unique in what seems to be a fairly gray wall of background noise these days.
|
| |
This keeps the dicks in the bay hanger I can't believe we even dusted this, so much for elephant orgies probably won't be back until my ass eats my ass .. Fuck heads
|
| |
first MCR
now Foxy Shazam
thank god i still have Electric Six
|
| |
Yes, I really enjoyed their first 3 albums. Kind of a bummer but it did kind of feel like they had reached their peak w/ the s/t for me.
|
| |
And yeah I haven't seen these guys live since 09 or so but they were fucking nuts and fun as hell live back then.
|
| |
Kind of bummed but Gonzo was trash so it's probably for the best. All their other stuff rules though.
|
| |
Their self titled is one of my favorite albums. Too bad I never got to see them live but I didn't like Gonzo so whatever.
|
| |
Church of rock n roll was quite amazing actually. I'm kind of surprised it didn't blow them up.
|
| |
Another one bites the dust
|
| |
Disbands =/= hiatus. Either way, Gonzo grew on me hard and I still have a lot of love for all of their other work so I'm pretty bummed about this.
|
| |
"...but when I saw them live recently they really lacked the energy and passion they used to have. Eric seemed very disinterested."
Hit the nail right on the head here, elephant. The Gonzo performance that I went to was clunky and didn't have all of the energy that they had during their S/T tour.
A hiatus is probably the best bet for the band at this point after Gonzo. Hopefully they'll come back with more energy than ever before.
PS their S/T was amazeballs

Younger dudes playing rock? How boring

"Younger dudes plating rock? How boring"
Not sure if srs
|

I prefer my rock in a bowl
|
| |
rip in peace
|
| |
this is probably for the best. Gonzo was so awful, i couldn't believe it was the same band who made their incredible s/t. i can definitely still see them getting back together in the future and releasing another fantastic album of similar quality though, once they recharge their Foxy Shazam batteries
|
| |
I only got into these guys about a year ago. It's a bit of a bummer that they disbanded before I ever got to see one of their wild live performances!
Although after Gonzo my interest in seeing them live plummeted pretty drastically.
|
| |
yeah the s/t rules, but they took a nosedive after that
|
| |
@KenboSlice you miss quoted me. but was j playing
|
| |
"promote this guy" [2]
I obviously agree
