As to the production, it's probably not a final version. Also it was released on a radio station so this might just be that audio. If I remember correctly, when they released the song "Death Toll" it was a radio mix first that didn't sound terribly amazing.

On second listen this doesn't sound so far removed from the last album actually. I remain hyped.

The new Cancer Bats song is better imo.

The vocals definitely sound a little different. It's a bit of a shame because the vocalist has lost that unique edge he had
before the surgery. The vocals are still however really good, and so is the rest of the song.

Harsh vocals remind me of Gojira in spots, especially in the intro. Song's a grower, for sure. I do hope the rest of the album is better, though. I still hope they could top This Is the Six.

I wouldn't be surprised if Loz got vocal coaching from Melissa Cross to sort his vocals, like Oli Sykes did (and he's pals with the WSS crew so may have put them in touch).

Not too bad imo. There is a noticeable change in their sound but goddamn the leads in the chorus are awesome.
