Vauxdvihl rereleases classic 2014-08-20 by rayraypine | 10 Comments | "Rare" and "hard to find" don't quite capture Vauxdvihl's first release, To Dimension Logic.
An underground masterpiece of progressive metal from Australia, the album went out of print
very quickly and became a sought after collectors item for every hardcore fan of the genre.
Released by Century Media (but distributed by Insideout), they have worked with the group to
put out not only that seminal album, but a two disc set that includes their entire
discography on both CDs (or two LPs, depending on how hipster you're feeling).

IT WAS ABOUT FUCKIN' TIME!!!
Edit: Inside Out is the distributing label, it's Century Media that reissued the whole discog.
| | | You're totally right. I even read that and decided to not edit myself...editing that now :-)
| | | No worries man and thanks for posting this.
Commenting on the Into Dimension Logic review about a year ago, I wondered how the album never got a reissue all these years and now this news come about. It feels like Christmas.
| | | I just want them to get some more publicity... I figure maybe a bit of news posted on here for the release will help? haha
| | | Right? I guess 20 years was long enough.
I always thought the production on all of their albums was perfect so, I'm glad it doesn't appear that they're remastering it.

Totally agreed.
The Neue Regel album - Neue Regel is the continuation of Vauxdvihl in the '00s - should be also considered for reissue, it's just as good as Into Dimension Logic, but in a different way.
| | | ...on the otherhand, I await Thought Industry and Watchtower remasters...
| | | I need to hear Neue Regal. Its an album from an era of progressive music that I love (late 90's, early 2000's) and yet I don't own it
| | | I await Thought Industry and Watchtower remasters...
Watchtower albums are not so hard to find (where I live at least), and I agree about Thought Industry.
Also, some ex-Vauxdvihl/Neue Regel members are part of the active Australian prog metal band Mechanical Organic, but I haven't check them yet.
| | | I had just read about that band as well (Mechanical Organic). I will be digging in to them.
It's not that Watchtower is hard to find, it's that I wouldn't mind a remaster is all...plus we're supposed to be seeing new material (full album) from them sometime this decade.
