Curious, Jom, which songs weren't you a fan of?

I've listened to the album around 7 times now, and I like it a fair deal.

That one gives me some National vibes with some of the lower notes that Fallon hits. I'm indifferent toward it, although I wouldn't say I like "Red Violins", "Selected Poems" or "Stray Paper" all that much.

How do you feel about "Dark Places", "Ain't That A Shame", "Break Your Heart" and "Helter Skeleton"?

Album rules, I will say though that Stray Paper was probably the weakest, but I feel it is greatly outnumbered by great songs

more horrible crowes would be nice

I actually don't mind the "experimentation" tbh

Can't stream cos Australia (Record comes out in two days anyway...) but from what I've seen on other sites everybody is enjoying different songs which to me is a sign of a strong album.

except the punk/riff driven side on sink or swim and the 59 sound is what made them great along with the songwriting

songs like high lonesome, the patient ferris wheel, angry johnny and the radio, we're getting a divorce, we came to
dance, etc.

then interspersing stuff like here's looking at you, kid for variation made them even better

now there's too much soft stuff

i mean, i wasn't a fan on the first listen, but it's been growing a bit

I hate the iTunes streams, I usually just wait for it on Spotify or whatever. But by the time it's officially released, there will already be two or three reviews written for it

Apple is the fucking worst, and iTunes is consistently one of the worst pieces of software ever created.

I'm on a chromebook now, which admittedly is expected to have limitations, but sorry I don't want to have to download your software to stream an album - not to mention that I wouldn't want to download a media player that's bloated almost beyond comprehension to listen to the stream anyway.

this is awesome you guys cmon this is how theyve sounded for years.

and they're even branching out. sometimes a little overzealous but for the most part its groovy.

Not my favorite Gaslight album but its still great. Dark Places is so darn good and 1,000 Years should be a single

I would give this a shot but The Gaslight Anthem has never inspired me to do anything besides yawn. I've tried so hard to get into them but can't.
